Description

Partnering with global footwear company ECCO, Wilson is taking glove innovation to the next level with the Pro Yak Series. Made from the skin of Himalayan Yak, ECCO and Wilson discovered that yak leather has extraordinary strength and durability. This strength has been one of the best-kept secrets in the industry, until now. In fact, due to the rugged and rough terrain that yak live in, this leather is up to 3x stronger than cowhide! This allows Wilson to skive the hide thinner, providing players with a much lighter and more manageable glove. It also makes for a quicker break-in and a soft, game-ready feel right off the shelf... without sacrificing any durability! With 2x Palm Construction, the Pro Yak Series features a thin strategically cut piece of leather between the palm liner and outer shell, providing maximum padding and pocket stability. A lower profile heel makes the glove more flexible and opens up the palm and pocket to make the glove more forgiving on bad-hop grounders. These Pro Stock patterns are exclusively hand designed by the Wilson Advisory Staff to make sure these gloves have top of the line quality. Wilson: More Win! Free Shipping!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson Pro Soft Yak Series: A1500BB1786XX? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Besides the shape, what is the difference between the webbing in the 11.5'' version and the 11.75'' version of this glove? Matt
The Wilson Pro Soft Yak Series: A1500BB1786XX has an I-Web. The 11.75'' of the same price has a reinforced single post web. The webbing of the glove is a personal preference and it will not affect the performance of the glove.

My son is 15 with LARGE hands. He has had an Akedema the last two years which has been a very good glove for him. It's time for a new glove. What are the best fitting gloves for large hands please. Kevin
As long as you stay away from Youth gloves then you should not see an issue with his hands not fitting. With nearly all gloves if it is tight then you can loosen the laces on the back strap of the glove. The Wilson Pro Soft Yak Series (A1500BB1786XX) should definitely fit his hands.
Aaron
What is the difference between the new 2014 and the prior year 2013 models? Dale
The Wilson Pro Soft Yak Series: A1500BB1786XX will be very much like previous year models. It will still feature the ECCO leather material and Pro Stock glove patterns. You'll be able to find the same sizes and webs available as well.
Brandon
Which glove will be more durable and hold its shape longer: The Wilson Pro Soft Yak Series or the Mizuno MVP Prime Series 11.5" glove? Baseball fanatic
The Wilson Pro Soft Yak Series (A1500BB1786XX) and the Mizuno MVP Prime Series (GMVP1151P1) will be very similar in regard to their durability and ability to maintain its shape throughout its life.
