Description
Wilson A2000 1786 Canada 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB21CAN86
Celebrate the Canadian flag with this excellent A2000 by Wilson that is made in the 1786 style!
Glove Benefits
The A2000 line of gloves has been built since 1957 and since that inception year, the A2000s have screamed quality! Today, Wilson makes these gloves with a Pro Stock Leather that is going to be rugged and durable, yet soft to the touch. And for this Canada edition of the glove, the softness (i.e. comfort) of the hand slot has been kicked up a notch as it has the new Comfort Pro Fitting. This means that when your hand enters the glove, it will feel the butter-soft Pro Lux lining. This writer believes that this lining is "one of the most comfortable glove materials out there" and you'll understand that claim right when you slip the glove on your hand. In addition to the Pro Lux Lining, the Comfort Pro Fitting will also include a Comfort Sleeve that covers up the binding of the wrist strap. In past A2000 gloves, this binding could sometimes irritate the medial-posterior section of a player's wrist, but this Comfort Sleeve will make that irritation a true thing of the past.
As well, be sure and know that this 1786 model of A2000 glove will be a perfect candidate for use at a middle infield position. The I-Web creates a classic middle infield look and the shallower pocket on this glove allows the player to execute all the quick exchanges and glove flips that are required of shortstops and second basemen. You could take this glove over to the hot corner (3B) as well, but the 11.5" length is a skosh shorter than the 11.75" length gloves that we usually recommend for third basemen.
