Great Glove! Ryan Street player

Pros: Pretty good glove, easy to break in and has a good pop when the ball is caught. Also recommend for a middle infielder.

Cons: Do not force to break in or squeeze or it will make a bubble in the middle of the glove and can mess up the leather in the middle.

Skim

Pros: Amazing design (almost like a custom glove, but for the price of a stock A2000. Break-in is stiff, yet easy. Glove has great pro-stock leather and forms to your hand well.

Cons: Laces aren't the best quality, but you can always re-lace them. If you squeeze to hard multiple times, it will make a few finger bubbles, but not a big deal as long as you treat your glove well.

What is an A2000 with SuperSkin that has basic colors? Ryan
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151787SS) is a super skin with basic colors. It is going to be tan with some black on it. Another one to check out would be 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16G4SS). This is going to be a primarily black glove.
Carter
Does it come in an 11.5"? Dinger Boy
The 2017 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB171786 features an 11.50" pattern.

In the video, why doesn't he allow us to see the rolled dual welting? He never turned the glove around for us to see the back of the glove. ballplayer101
The rolled dual welting is a process that Wilson puts the A2000 models through and would not "show" on the glove like the SuperSkin feature. To gain a better understanding of this process please review the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1S6DyC9WXc
Cameron
Also, why isn't it in stock right now? Are you guys just previewing the glove to us? Because I love the looks of this glove and would love to order it. ballplayer101
The 2017 Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is a new model that Wilson will be releasing 9/1/2016. We have received just the one glove to allow customers to see what it looks like as well as to highlight its features.
Cameron
Can you pitch with the white on this glove? hihhih
The white piping displayed on this 2017 Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) should not be significant enough to make an umpire deem it illegal for use in a game. That being said, the ultimate decision would come to the umpire, but I think you'll be safe to use this on the mound.
Ben
Can you by this glove now? Baseball12
Yes, this 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) is available for purchase from JustBallGloves.com at the time of your question.
Ben
I play middle infield almost all the time, but once in a while I play outfield. If I get an 11.50" glove of this exact model will I be able to sometimes use it for outfield? A Soly
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) is a versatile glove and could be used in the outfield in a pinch if needed.
Jake
I was thinking of buying an 11.50" model of this exact glove because I usually play middle infield. Do you think I could use the 11.50" model of this glove for when I occasionally play outfield? A soly
If you are predominantly a middle infielder, this 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) will be a fine model to purchase and occasionally use in the outfield. Although, 11.50" is usually pretty small for an outfielder, you should be able to handle the occasional inning in the outfield with an 11.50" glove.
Ben
Can this glove be used at 3rd base for a high school player? S.Dorf
For 3B, players generally prefer either 11.50" or 11.75" gloves. So with the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 measuring at 11.50", it could be used by a high school 3B.
Marcus
Would this glove be good for playing second base? Tyler1415
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 has an 11.50" pattern and it is a great option for second base.
Jason
Just bought this glove for 3rd base and pitching I was wondering if it had long laces or not? baseballman
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) will have pretty long laces but nothing really out of the ordinary. They are going to be similar to what you will find on most gloves.
Carter
Do you think this glove will be too big for a 10 year old? Joe
Every kid is a little different so it is hard to say for certain. If his hands are close to the size of the average adult I think that the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) would be a great option for him. If his hands are going to be more like a younger player I would recommend taking a look at the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A20RB15DP15GM). It is going to feature the Pedroia Fit, with a smaller hand opening and tighter finger stalls for more secure fit.
Carter
Do you guys offer custom engraving on this glove? It's a gift for my son and I want to put his name and number on the glove. Diego
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer custom engraving on the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786.
John P.
My son wants this for Christmas. He is 15 and will be playing on the freshman team. Should he try on first? Jennifer
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is a great option to consider for a high school freshman who is playing on the infield. Gloves are always going to be a "feel" or personal preference so trying on the glove prior to purchasing is always beneficial. With that said, our customers can rest assured thanks to our 100 day guarantee. For more information pertaining to this guarantee please review the following: http://www.justballgloves.com/customer-service/guarantee/
Cameron
I pitch mostly, play middle infield for school and I have an outfield glove for travel but I am deciding whether to get an 11.25 or 11.50. I am a freshman with not too big of hands but I have an 11.50 now. joeybaseball
If you are using an 11.5" glove now and you feel comfortable with that I would go ahead and recommend sticking with an 11.5" glove, the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) would be a great option to take a look at.
Carter
My son is 13 years old and plays both infield and outfield. Would you recommend this glove for him? Or would an 11.75" suit him better? nelson
At 13 years old, I think that this 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) will be excellent for infield use. As well, if he is just being used in the outfield sparingly, then the 11.5" length should suffice. However, if the time between infield and outfield is split more evenly, then I would suggest an 11.75" length of glove.
Ben
What is the difference between the A2000 and A2K Wilson mitts? MG
The differences between the Wilson A2000 and A2K gloves can be found in the leather being used and the double palm construction. The Wilson A2K models will feature Pro Stock Leather - this is cut from the top 5% of all Wilson leather hides. As well, the A2K models will feature double palm construction which will help prevent premature wearing of the leather in the palm.
Cameron
I'm a senior in high school have pretty big hands, would this glove fit to small? diante
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is made to fit an adult hand so you should have no problems with this glove fitting even if you have large hands. However, if it is too small we have a 100 day guarantee with all gloves so you can send it back to us for a full refund or exchange within 100 days from the purchase.
Cooper
Is this glove available for left handed throwers as well? John R Jackson
Unfortunately, the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is only available in a right handed thrower.
Jason
Can this glove be used for pitching? dj orona
Yes, the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 could be used for pitching.
Jason
Can I get my name put on this glove? T-RICH
Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to put a name on a glove like the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786.
Jason
Can I get my name put on this glove? T-RICH
We do not do any customization but rather ship the items out as they are received from the manufacturer. If a customer was wanting to have their name embroidered on the glove/mitt then we would recommend going to a local embroidery store.
Cameron
What is the difference between this glove and the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786? Pablo
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 and the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 are very similar gloves, the only difference between the two gloves will be the color.
Sean
I am 13 year old and play 3rd base and pitcher. I was wondering if this glove would be good for pitching and 3rd base? beast_8
We would usually suggest an 11.75" or 12" glove for 3rd/pitcher, but the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 would most likely still work well for you.
Logan
I'm a high school infielder. I know this glove is a infielder's glove. What are the pros of this model? DR
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is a 11.50 inch model and is a great option for an infielder. What makes the A2000 lineup a great choice is the higher end leather construction as well as the padding that is offered in the palm of the glove.
Cameron
(1) How soft is this glove when I get it out of the box? (2) Could this glove be a good utility glove (if I play outfield sparingly)? BallBoy27
(1)This 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) will be decently stiff when received and will probably take at least a few weeks-to-a-month to break in according to all your specifications. (2) If you play outfield sparingly, then yes, this glove would be fine to take out to the green ocean (outfield) every now and then.
Ben
I'm 12 years old and play shortstop for a travel team. I know this glove is made to fit the hands of an adult but do you think it will fit me? Danny
Yes, I think that the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) would most likely fit you. We have a 100 day guarantee through if it does not end up working out for you.
Carter
I'm about to turn 15, but the length of my hand from palm to the tip of my middle finger is 8 1/4 inches. Would this glove fit me? Luke Mahan
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is an 11.50 inch model that features an I-Web. This glove is a great option for an infielder playing at the high school level or above. As always, a glove is a personal preference but with our 100 day guarantee a player can rest assured they will not get stuck with a glove that is not the right fit (even if it has been used).
Cameron
Does hot water ruin the glove? Danny
Unless you have been trained on how to use the hot water to help out with the glove I would recommend staying away from using hot water on the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) or any glove.
Carter
I am 13 and play 2nd base but I have a small wrist. My glove right now is an 11.25" and I have had it for two years. Do you think a 11.50" will work for me? braedan
Yes, the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 should work for you. It will have a wrist opening similar to the 11.25" size.
Sean
My son is 11 and plays shortstop and 3rd, but doesn't have large hands. Is there a model of the A2000 that has smaller finger openings? detriot fan
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is considered an adult fitting glove. A good alternative A2000 in an 11.5" pattern is the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A20RB15DP15GM. It features the Pedroia fit which is more snug for younger players and players looking for a tighter fit.
Jason
How long does it take to break in or is it a field ready glove? braedan
It really depends on how often you are using the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 and if you are oiling it or not but typically the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 can be broken in within 3-4 weeks.
Sean
Should I get a 2017 A2000 baseball glove or a 2016 A2K? Which would be a better glove? TheMan
An A2000, like this 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786), will not technically have leather quality as high as an A2K. However, an A2000 is a very solid glove that holds up to the use of high school players all the way to pro players. The A2K is technically the better glove, but an A2000 would function just fine for use at any level.
Ben
Does this glove have to be broken in flared? George
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 can be broken in traditionally or flared, whichever the player prefers.
Logan
I'm turning 14 and my hands are not very big. I want to get the new DP15. Right now, I'm using an 11.25". I'm a pitcher and middle infielder. Would you recommend me getting this glove? Sean
All A2000 mitts made in the DP15 style will be 11.50" in length and have a bit of a snug fitting. If you are pitching and playing infield, an 11.5" mitt would work for you. This 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) will have more of an adult fitting to it. As well, it could provide a bit of a disadvantage on the mound as it does not feature a closed (or Modified-T) webbing. However, if you think your hand will grow some with time and you are a fielder first -and- pitcher second, this is something to consider.
Ben
My son who is 10 going on 11 wants an A2000. He is a middle infielder and pitches. He currently has an 11 inch glove - A500. I am wondering what size is best for him, the 11.25" or 11.50"? Do these gloves come in youth sizes? aaron
Glove size really comes down to player preference, and anything between 11"-11.50" would be a good size for him. The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is considered an adult pattern, but typically players around the age of 12 move into an adult fitting glove. If you wanted more of a youth fit, a glove with the Pedroia fit would be the better option. The 2018 Wilson A2000 11.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF88 is an example of a Pedroia fit option.
Jason
My son is 14 and is playing his first year of high school baseball. Would this glove (with the white mixed in the glove) be prohibited for use while pitching? Ty
I doubt this glove would be illegal for pitching simply because the white areas are just the welting lines and normally it's only an issue when it is a large section such as a logo patch. That being said, you may check with the coach or league administrator beforehand. Some umpires are more strict than others when enforcing such rules as it is more of a judgement call.
Kyle J.
How much larger and in what areas is this glove larger than the A2000 11.5" Dustin Pedroia model? mb
This glove is larger in the wrist opening and finger stall areas than a Pedroia model. The Dustin Pedroia models are adults model with slimmer wrist opening and finger stalls for those with smaller hand sizes or intermediate players transitioning from youth gloves to adult, while this model is suited for adult sized players and hands.
Kyle J.
Is this glove for bigger hands? jack tobb
The 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 is made with an adult male's hand in mind. I wouldn't say it is made for those with rather large hands, but instead more of an average hand size.
Tyler
Are the X laces double laced? jack williams
No. The X-shaped lace patterns in the bottom of the web are done with one piece of lace.
Kyle J.
Would this glove be a good fit for a 13 year old boy or would it fit loosely? Thomas
At the beginning, the hand fitting of this 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) might be a little large for a 13 year old infielder, but with some time, your player should grow into the fitting of the mitt just fine.
Ben
What size should I get for an 11-year-old boy? ASH-TON
The fit of the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786 might be a bit big for an 11 year old boy. The length of 11.5'' would be about the right size, but the fit would need to be tighter to squeeze his hand correctly. The https://www.justballgloves.com/product/wilson-a2000-11-5--dustin-pedroia-baseball-glove--wta20rb18dp15/28481/ would have the Dustin Pedroia fit, which will squeeze the younger players hands tighter and would be more suitable.
Max
Will this glove fit a 13 year old shortstop and third baseman? Marcus l
Typically, the average 13 year old infielder would be ready for a standard fitting glove, such as the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove: A20RB171786. The hand fit should work well for you player, as well as the overall 11.5" size being ideal for infield play.
