Description

This Shoeless Joe Glove 1150HW gives a player the quality, feel and style of the gloves utilized by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models worn in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series or today`s models in the Professional Model Series. The Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Shoeless Joe gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the Glove with a beaten up and game worn look and feel of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique feature. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. A great play is lived only once, but your glove, you`ll keep it forever. If you end a game with a clean uniform our gloves are not for you. Shoeless Joe: When it Was Just a Game! Pros: I bought this glove for my son during the holidays and he is delighted with it. The quality of the leather and craftmanship are great, awesome. It breaks-in in a short time. After using top brand such as Rawlings, Wilson and Mizuno, I wanted to try this brand. They are somewhat new in the market. I

Pros: Bought this glove for my younger son after buying Shoeless Joe catcher's mit for my older boy and loving it. .My son used it 4 days after getting it, breaks in like no other glove we have owned.

Cons: If you like the big oversized gloves this is not for you. This is an infielders glove.

Pros: this is the second glove I bought for my daughter identical to the first. she now plays high school shortstop and pitches. The first one lasted 5 years and is still useable but we just wanted a new one. When she got her first one her fielding improved instanly by 300 percent. It is truely a great glove. She wanted the exact same model. I have a similar model 1200 which is just a little bigger. both are great gloves.

Cons: there are none that I know of.

Pros: Got the glove in the mail on Friday and used it in a tournament Saturday - was broke in enough for our 11 yr old to use it without any difficulty fielding!! We told him he had to be extra careful to keep his fundamentals sound, but again, no fielding issues at all!

Cons: Too new to know - have only used it a few weeks.

Pros: I bought this glove so I could play catch with my grandson as he learns the game. The glove is well made using high quality leather. It took about a week to break the glove in to my preference. This glove will compete with gloves costing twice as much. Great glove.

Cons: None

Great Glove TM Coach

Pros: My son plays 13u travel and had a 44 that never adequately broke in. This glove is high quality but arrives broken in around 80%. I treated once with a lanolin conditioner and after a couple practices it's practically game ready. Most importantly, my son loves it and won't touch his other mitt. I would recommend this glove for any level.

Cons: None

Good glove, but.... Steve Parent

Pros: Breaks in fast. Son loves it over the $300 glove we bought him. Errr.

Cons: But, the pocket web stretching came undone after less than one year. Maybe a result of teenage neglect. Having to take to shoe repair shop to have it fixed. Otherwise good infielder glove.

Have a question about the Shoeless Joe Professional Series Baseball Glove: 1150HW? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

If you were to compare Shoeless Joe, Roy Hobbs and Nokona where would you go? I know Nokona run a little small but the quality is great. If you had a choice between the 3 which way would you go and why?
Mike Who
The Shoeless Joe and Roy Hobbs gloves are going to be gloves that are going to be game ready and really broken in when you receive the glove. The Nokona gloves will require to be broken in. The Nokona gloves will probably be more durable since that are going to use newer technology to make the gloves.
Todd
Where are the Shoeless Joe gloves made?
Jay
They are made in Mexico.
Kara
Will you be getting in more RHT of this glove in soon?
JD
We will be receiving more right hand throwers of the Shoeless Joe Professional Series. However, at this time we do not have an estimated arrival date.
Kara
Will this glove work for an 8 to 9 year old?
mike
Yes, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150HW) would be a great choice for a player at that age. It will feature very soft, pre-oiled leather. The break-in time will be very short.
Brandon
Does this glove have small enough finger stalls for a 9 yr old who plays mostly outfield and will last him several years? And is the pocket deep enough to use for outfield even though this glove says it's for infield?
AK
This Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150HW) is designed to fit more of an adult male hand. You could get it for a 9 year old if you are okay having an extended period of time where he will have to grow into the fitting of the mitt (probably till he is 12 years old). However, we do feature a 100 day guarantee on all our gloves and if you got the glove and decided it was not the glove for you within 100 days from the purchase, you could send it back for a full refund or exchange. In regard to your 2nd question, the pocket depth on this mitt would be fine for use in the outfield or infield if it was being used by a 9 year old. The biggest issue would be if the mitt will fit your player effectively.
Ben
Would this glove be a good fit for a five foot five, 120 lb, 13 year old 3rd baseman? Also, do you know the weight of this glove? Also would the 1150IH be a good fit for the same player? What is the difference between the I and H webs?
Mums
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150HW is an 11.50 inch model. This is a great option to consider for a 3B. To answer your other questions, (1) this glove is not in our showroom currently so not sure on the weight (2) the 1150IW is another good option to consider (3) difference between the web design is purely cosmetic and has no affect on the glove itself; rather it comes down to personal preference as to what a player believes to be a better looking design.
Cameron
My son is 5'1" and close to 100 lbs - 11 1/2 years old. Plays infield and outfield. Current glove is 11.5". Will this fit his hand?
JC
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series Baseball Glove: 1150HW will probably be a bit big as for the hand opening of the glove. The Shoeless Joe Professional Series Baseball Glove: 1150HW will be the right size in the 11.5'', but might need a model to squeeze his hand adequately.
Max L
How much does the 1150HW weigh?
Kevin
Unfortunately we do not know how much the Shoeless Joe Professional Series Baseball Glove: 1150HW weighs as this model is not currently in our showroom.
Cameron
Would this be suitable for high school baseball?
Ian
Yes, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series Baseball Glove: 1150HW would be a great option for a high schooler playing either shortstop or second base because of that 11.50" size.
Tyler
My son is 9 years old, needs a new glove, but don’t want to buy something too small or too big. Would like something he could use for years to come. Do you think this glove is good for his age? If not, what do you recommend?
James beaver
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series Baseball Glove: 1150HW, although a good size at 11.50 inches for a 9 year old, would not be the correct fit at the player's current age. The reason for this is the overall wrist opening and finger stalls design is set for an adult player. At this time, Shoeless Joe does not have a youth model that would be a good fit for a 9 year old.
