Is this glove good for a 10 year old travel player that plays second base?
Joe
If the 10 year old has hands closer to an adults sized hands this Nokona Alpha 11.5" Baseball Glove (S-1150I) would be a great option. If he has smaller hands I would recommend a Nokona Alpha Select Series Baseball Glove (S-200) Youth.
Carter
How does the leather on this glove compare to a Heart of the Hide or an A2000?
Lewis
The leather on the Nokona Alpha 11.5" Baseball Glove: S-1150I is going to be similar to those used in Rawlings Heart of the Hide and Wilson A2000 models. However, the Nokona Alpha is going to be a youth model and has little to no break in time whereas the A2000's and the Heart of the Hide's will require a break in period.
Cooper
I purchased the Alpha for my 8 year old grandson and it is truly a great glove. Light, firm, ready to play right out of the wrapper and has that true leather smell. (Who smells a glove, you do if it is a Nokona) Why does the Nokona Alpha require less break-in than the Rawlings Heart of the Hide and Wilson A2000 models?
Hank
The Nokona Alpha 11.5" Baseball Glove: S-1150I features buffalo and stampede leather which is extremely lightweight creating an easier break in period than a comparable Heart of the Hide or A2000.

PRICE MATCHGUARANTEE
Yes, JustGloves.com will price match a competitor's listed price!
To do so, we verify some information. If you see an item listed at a lower price elsewhere, this is all we require:
We must verify that the website you want to price match is legitimate and an authorized dealer of the products they sell.
We must confirm that the competitor has the same size and product in stock and ready to ship. If the same size and product is out of stock on the competitor's website, we are unable to match their price.
We must confirm if the competitor charges sales tax and/or shipping fees since these are added to the final price of the product.
Lastly, our Glove Experts must check on the cost we pay to stock the item from the manufacturer. The price match must cover that manufacturer cost for the item.
We have the final decision for matching an online price.
Did you purchase a product from us, but noticed that it is now at a lower price? Please let us know, and we will honor our lowest price within the past 30 days by issuing a refund for the price difference or adjusting the price for you over the phone.

JustGloves Trusted Glove Prep Service
$34.95
We Prep - You Break In - Then Break Out
You spoke and we listened. Introducing JustGloves Trusted Glove Prep! Now, you can choose for us to soften your new glove for a quicker break-in process. We will not be fully breaking in the glove, but instead pounding, conditioning and packaging the glove based on the knowledge of our Glove Experts and information we've been taught by other experts in the baseball and softball glove market. As a result, the leather will arrive supple and allow for you to easily complete the break-in process upon arrival.
The Process
Pounding
With care, your glove is pounded for multiple minutes by a state-of-the-art glove pounding machine. During this step we aim for key areas of the glove that will soften the leather and allow you to personalize the glove as needed when you take the finals steps for break-in.
Condition
Our team of Glove Experts then applies a thin layer of conditioner to the outside of your glove. The application of conditioner after multiple minutes of pounding eliminates any chance of the leather drying out before it gets delivered.
Prep For Shipment
The final step in our glove prepping process sees us place a large wiffle in the pocket of the glove. We then strategically wrap rubber bands around the glove so it closes properly. We also inspect the the heel of the glove so that it does not get pinched during shipment.
