Description

Capitalizing on 100 years of glove making experience and innovation, Mizuno has developed the worlds best ball glove: the Mizuno Pro Series, with cutting edge 4D Technology. Mizuno extensively researched the dynamics of catching, using data from the best players in the game, and created position-specific ball gloves, delivering the ultimate in performance for each position. The 4D Technology is position specific reinforcements that allow greater grip strength and transfer of energy from your hand to the ball. The pressure points were determined by position, utilizing data from the best players in the world. These pressure points, coupled with the ultimate in feel and softness of Japanese tanned Deguchi leather, create the best feeling and most functional gloves possible. The Deguchi leather offers the softest feel and most durable leather available. Limited hide utilization ensures that only the best sections of each hide are used in production of each Mizuno Pro glove. Deguchi leather is much softer and more flexible than previous Mizuno Pro leathers yet has higher tensile strength enabling the best of both worlds. The Deguchi leather has a game ready feel with long lasting durability. Mizuno: Your passion is our obsession. Free Shipping.

Pros: Great glove. Deerskin liner is super soft but the glove is still firm and maintains its shape. Pocket is not too shallow and not too deep. Relatively light compared to other elite gloves. Worth every penny.

Cons: None

Pros: This is an excellent glove! Quality is top-notch. Extra reinforcement in critial areas of the glove (like the thumb) is nice. Pocket is well formed even before break in. Leather is thick but moves and hinges easily where necessary.

Cons: May take a bit longer to break in than other gloves, but allows you to break it in exactly the way you want. Take your time.

Pros: Amazing! I have owned over 20 gloves. I have primo and a2k but this is by far the best. You will love it. Takes about 3-4 good weeks to break in. But amazing. The hard part is making a pocket. But amazing glove for 2,3, and SS.

As far as leather and durability goes, which glove would be better, this or the pro preferred? G Money
This is going to be a very good glove and the top of the line Mizuno glove on the market. This glove uses top of the line Deguchi leather. This glove will be a very durable glove that should last a very long time. This glove is one of the top of the line glove that we sell.
Brett
Hi i want to get a glove, but im worried about the palm padding. can you please tell me if the Mizuno Pro Series: GMP61 has good palm padding? yuls
This glove has average palm padding compared to other gloves of similar quality.
JH
IS this or the A2k have better leather? Proverbs2416
A2K is steer hide that of high quality. It is stretched and pounded to give a soft feel. Mizuno is going to be softer and lighter.
Mike
When braking in one of these high quality gloves, do most mlb infielders put two fingers in the pinky or only one? Mick
I don't know that many MLB players, but High School and College level players will typically break it in wearing the glove exactly how they would in a game. This is usually with one finger in the pinky stall.
Brett
which glove has more overall padding? this glove or the Mizuno Global Elite VOP Series: GGE50V coolddude24
They are both going to have good padding. You can't go wrong with either one.
Tony
which glove would have the smaller and tighter hand opening? this glove or the Louisville Slugger TPX Silver Slugger Flare Series: FL1125SS. i am a 14 year old and would like to know what would fit my hand better. nicedude2462
They are both are going to be very similar in the hand slots and finger stalls. The Louisville might be a little bit smaller compared to the Mizuno Pro Series.

hello, my name is isiah. i am 15 years old and im wondering what would you recommend, i was thinking either the 11.25 in rawlings pro prefered or the mizuno pro series GMP61 11.5 in. i play second base. the mizuno one has my choice soo far. which one is lighter which one do you think is better and will be better fitted for me. thanks so much! jeb
The Mizuno Pro Series and Rawlings Pro Preferred Series are some of the highest quality gloves on the market and it's next to impossible to say one has an advantage over the other in terms of durability. The 11.25 inch Rawlings may be a little lighter than the 11.5 inch Mizuno, but not by much. 11.25 inch and 11.5 inch gloves are the most popular amongst High School age middle infielders. Size comes down to your personal preference. Both gloves are comfortable and I would say the Mizuno has slightly larger finger stalls than the Rawlings.

Yes, this glove is going to have a very deep web.
