Typically, middle infielders like to stay around the 11.50" size and third base around 11.75". A pitcher could use an 11.50"-12". Comparing the Wilson Game Ready Softfit Series: A0800BB1786 to the Wilson A2K Series: A2K0BBGG4 you would find that the first noticeable detail would be the break-in period. It says it in the name, the Wilson Game Ready Softfit Series will be much easier to break-in and comfortable from day one. Where as the Wilson A2K Series will take you longer to form to your personal needs as a player. This results from the Game Ready Softfit Series being made from Wilson's Ecco Leather and having the low profile heel for added flexibility. The Wilson Game Ready Softfit Series: A0800BB1786 is not a youth glove that will have full sized finger stalls and a full sized hand opening. It's most common among High School age infielders, but it does have soft leather that would accommodate a younger player who may not have the hand strength to squeeze a stiff glove. It's definitely something I feel he can still use at the age of 10 though.
