Is this game ready out of the box or does it need a lot of break in? Stephen
The Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB201175 will likely have little to no break in needed out of the box.
Cameron
Is this a youth glove and is it good for an 11 yr old? Ryan
This is still considered an adult model, but it is designed with a lower heel profile and easier closing pattern to help younger players transitioning to an adult model. Unless he has very small hands for his age, this would likely still work for an 11 year old.
Kyle
My son has a 2018 model A900 and he is 9. He's used it for a year and it fit great. Will this new 2020 model A900 have the same size fit? Daniel
This model should have roughly the same size fit as the older A900, yes.
Kyle
My son has a Wilson A500, size 11.5. He’s a lefty that plays in the outfield for his primary position, pitches and occasionally plays first base. He is just turned 10 yrs old but he’s not a big kid, about 4 ft 3 - 4 ft 4. Would this 11.75 work for him or keep him using a 11.5? Orlando
Glove size always boils down to player preference and what they feel the most comfortable with. With that being said, for someone that is 10, a good utility size would be 11.50. If the player prefers a slightly bigger glove at 11.75, like the Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB201175, then there is certainly nothing wrong with getting a slightly bigger glove.
Cameron
My son who's going to be 12, tho small for his age, has been using has been using a Mizuno prospect glove which has held up but as kids are throwing harder and balls are coming faster, I feel like he needs a better mitt heading into his last year of little league and 50/70. Is this A900 a step up? Is the A1000 or A2000 a better move? He's a lefty too. Thanks Chris
The Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB201175 is expected to be a slightly stiffer leather than the Mizuno Prospect Paraflex 11.75" Baseball Glove: GPT1175Y3 but are very similar in quality. When comparing the Wilson glove series, as the number rise so does the quality of leather.
Lauren
My son just turned 10 and is 4’7” and 84lbs. He primarily plays pitcher, second, and occasional outfield. He’s been using an 11” glove but says he’s having trouble now because the glove is too small for fielding grounders. Would this work for him or would it be too big for him? Bryan Kuczborski
The Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB201175 would be well suited for outfield and pitching. It may be a little large for 2nd. I would recommend around an 11.50'' for 2nd base and overall if that is where he primarily plays.
Tori
About how much bigger would the hand opening be compared to a Pedroia fit? Derek reid
We do not have exact measurements on how much larger the wrist opening would be on a Pedroia fit versus that of a regular hand setting, like the Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB201175. Can say that the Pedroia fit gloves will feature a smaller wrist opening and the fingers stalls are reduced in length and width for a more secure fit.
