Nice quality glove Omar vasquez Parent

Pros: Nice quality and perfect for my son hand.

Great glove Jay Parent

Pros: Great fit and great feel for an 11 year old. Broke in way more easily than I expected.

Cons: The tightest wrist adjustment was too tight for my son. I had to relace it to use it. That’s the worst thing I can come up with.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin DP15 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Would this be a good glove for an 11-12 year old travel ball player? Typically plays 3rd. Mitch Walters
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS is an excellent option for an infielder needing a glove with a more snug fit; the Pedroia series will feature a smaller wrist opening and shorter/tighter finger stalls. As for the fit for an 11-12 year old, general recommendation would be the Wilson A1000 series but if the player is not adverse to the additional break-in time on the A2000 series, then this glove is a great option that will last multiple years with proper care.
Cameron
Would this be easier to break in than the stock A2000, I bought my son the pro stock model and he never could get it broke in. Is the super skin or snakeskin easier to break-in? Rainman
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS will have a quicker break-in period because of the SuperSkin leather.
Max
What is the weight difference between this Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS and the Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15? JN
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS is a couple ounces lighter than the Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15.
Patrick
Would this be good for my 9yrs old travel ball? Dan
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS is considered an adult model. It is constructed for adult's with smaller hands. However, the concern would be if a 9 year old has the hand strength to control and break in the glove. In general, we do not see players making the jump to this glove until about 12-14 years of age. Another recommendation would be Wilson A1000 11.50" Pedroia Fit Baseball Glove: WTA10RB19DP15 until the player is a little older.
Daveron
My 13 year old daughter uses a 11.75 A2000 for Fastpitch. Her hand is a little small in it.Could this glove be used for a smaller handed softball player? Paul
I would not recommend using the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS for softball as the pocket will not be large enough to accommodate the softball.
Tori
My son is an 11 year old higher level travel ball player. He mainly plays centerfield and pitcher, with some infield. Very interested in this glove because of smaller hands and the Pedroia fit, but concerned that the I web design might be too shallow of a pocket for centerfield now that he’s getting older. He’s used a Rawlings I web in the past and has done well. This is a Wilson though, never used one, but he’s ready for a better made glove. Any thought or input on this model would be appreciated. Kris Kovarik
An 11.5" model is designed more for infield use, as outfielders typically use a 12" or larger model. If you are wanting a more all around glove size, I would suggest a 12" size. The Wilson A2000 is an excellent line of gloves and will be very high quality and long lasting.
Kyle
My 11yo son plays travel ball 2nd base a lot and pitches at times. He also plays center sometimes. He has small hands. Would this be a good glove for him and also how long does it take to break it in? Thx! Tracy
This Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS would be a great option for him! The Pedroia Fit is designed for kids in that intermediate glove size (between youth and adult). This glove will come stiff so it will require a decent amount of time to break it in!
Ryan
Is there a difference between this mitt and the Wilson A2000 DP15SS? Dion
There are only a few cosmetic and color differences between this Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove (WTA20RB20DP15SS) and the DP15SS.
Frank
Can I get this model in "blonde" color rather than black? Ed
Unfortunately the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS is only featured in the black/red piping colorway.
Cameron
Need a glove for an 11 yr old who plays 2nd base and is also a pitcher. marianna
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS could work for an 11 year old infielder/pitcher but will be stiff and might be hard to break-in at that age.
Cameron
My son is 5’4", 110 lbs., and plays U13 baseball. Has been using the A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia for infield for about 2-3 months now in practice breaking it in, plus additional break in prior. It feels broken in and seems to fit, but he can’t seem to get totally comfortable with this glove. Says he can’t get full squeeze with thumb, ball rattles in pocket, and pops out sometimes. Do you think it just needs more breaking in, or possibly a touch too large for him. This is on grounders only, fine playing catch. D
Hard to say whether or not your Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Pedroia Fit 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS would need more break-in time. Could be more in how the ball is initially striking the glove (not getting into the palm area but rather to the sides of it).
Cameron
Trying to decide between A2000 Pedroia fit super skin and A1000 Pedroia fit glove for my 10 yr old infielder/outfielder/pitcher. He has the A500 youth model now and I’m not crazy about it. Can you also highlight some key differences between the A500 and the gloves mentioned above. Keith Searls
Based on his age, I would recommend the A1000 model. A2000 models are ideal for high school age players and above as they will be a bit larger in hand size even with the Pedroia fit. It will also take a bit longer to break in. Both the A2000 and A1000 will be a large step up in leather quality.
Tori
Can I try this glove with extensive break in by you guys? Bill Shamseldin
Yes, with the purchase of our Glove Assurance Program, you have 100 days to try out the glove and return it for a refund for the price of the glove. If you wish to keep the glove after 100 days we will refund the purchase of the assurance program to a gift card.
Jake
My son is 11 and is about 5’2” and his hands/fingers are bigger than some adult men. He plays pretty much every position on the field. Would this be a good fit for him? Stephen
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin DP15 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS is a great glove with a smaller hand fitting. This glove can certainly work for an 11 year old if they do not mind a break-in process.
Cameron
Is this glove good for my 9 year old son Todd
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin DP15 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS will have a slightly smaller wrist opening and finger stalls that are meant for adults with smaller hands which can fit some youth players. I would recommend a slightly smaller option for a 9 year old at this time.
Jake
Given the white logos and lettering, would this be legal for a pitcher to wear? Wally
Whether or not a pitcher could use the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin DP15 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS would depend on the umpire and/or opposing coach. With the white logos on the glove, this can be fixed by using a sharpie to color it in, if a pitcher was getting told they could not use it.
Cameron
What size hands should be used for this glove? Brady
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin DP15 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS features a smaller wrist opening, as well as more narrow and shorter finger stalls. It is ideal for a smaller hand but there is not a hand sizing guide as it all comes down to player preference.
Cameron
Are you supposed to condition the super skin? Laurence
The SuperSkin on the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin DP15 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS does not require glove oil or glove conditioner.
Cameron
Is this suitable for a high school athlete with longer fingers / bigger hands? Rory
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin DP15 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB20DP15SS features a smaller wrist opening as well as shorter and more narrow finger stalls. It will likely not make a good infield glove option for a high school athlete with average to larger size hands.
