Description

Wilson A2000 SuperSkin 1975 Spin Control 11.75" Baseball Glove: WBW1001541175

This glove presents lots of fresh looks and ideas from Wilson. A new 1975 style of A2000, Spin Control Technology and even SuperSkin.

Glove Benefits

This glove features the 1975 style of A2000. This style is supposed to provide an improvement for players who want a deeper pocket than what is offered on the 1787 style of A2000. The way the deep pocket is achieved by the craftsman at Wilson is that they strategically welt the leather on the Wilson H-web base backing of the glove. The resulting deeper pocket allows shortstops and third baseman to feel a little more comfortable on the infield.

Do not forget about the Spin Control Technology that is featured on the catching surface of the glove. The palm and fingers are outfitted with hundreds of dimples that create extra friction on the baseball when it enters the glove. This keeps the ball from continuing to spin and come out of the glove. This technology will be beneficial for just about any fielder out there!

And lastly, the glove has SuperSkin material on the backing of the glove that makes the glove light-weight, strong and water repellant!

Warranty

Wilson A2000s come with a LIMITED twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty period. The warranty does NOT cover regular wear and tear, fading of colors, misuse or rips/cuts/tears. eh.... CT Coach

Pros: Good Looking, Quality made. Pocket is deep.

Cons: The dimples make the leather feel strange. this is the 3rd A2000 glove I have purchased this year and the hardest one to break in. I think the Spin Control is a novel Idea but lacks practicality when it comes to Break in and use. The Glove itself has a really tight wrist. I had to open it up to the last holes and it's still tight. I don't think this will break in because of the Super Skin on the outside. I am glad I purchased the 100 day guarantee as I think I am going to return this glove and get a Normal leather A2000. I purchased the DP15 A2000 with a leather palm and Super Skin outside. that glove broke in easy and got super soft. I purchased a PF33 catchers glove and it broke in game ready in 3 weeks. I've used this 1975 glove almost daily since I got it. Any other A2000 would start to feel good. this one doesn't. I think it's due to the dimples in the spin control palm.

Great Second Base Glove Matt Parent

Pros: Great quality, lightweight, perfect for second baseman. My 12 year old son has used this for nearly a full year and has been very happy with it. I helped him a little with the break-in, but he did most of it himself and was ready to go within a week or two. Definitely one of the easier break-ins we've done on non-youth gloves. My son hasn't hit his growth spurt, and the glove fit him really well. I'm also able to fit it on my larger adult hand, but since he doesn't want me to ruin the shape, I haven't tried it out myself. Primary use at second, but also usable at SS or pitcher if you want something light.

Cons: Not going to be suitable for outfield use, so this is really for those that are going to be in the middle infield.

Great glove for 3rd base Carson Player

Pros: Great glove overall, leather is really high quality and feels really nice after breaking in. I’m 15 and it fits my hand perfectly.

Cons: Leather is very stiff so it takes a while to break in all the way.

Great Glove Tim Ahlers Parent

Pros: Nice quality, good color combo. Son loves it.

Cons: Was hoping it would have came a little more broken in paying the extra $$ for that process
