Get your game face on -- it's time to rock on defense with this Wilson A2000 infield baseball glove. Like all mitts in the A2000 series, this glove comes constructed with Pro Stock Select leather. This American steerhide is the preferred material for serious baseball players, and offers a degree of toughness, consistency and traditional feel. The Dual Welting technology offers double-lined finger backs, which gives a longer life to the glove, and ensures that after break-in, it will be strong and dynamic in the pocket. The pocket itself is engineered with Wilson's very reputable H-Web technology, which stitches together high-grade leather, and will give you confidence when picking those hard shots up the foul line. Wilson: Peerless in Performance.

This Wilson A2000 infield baseball glove (WTA20RB191786) comes with an 11.5-inch opening, the classic Wilson H-Web and an open back for a traditional look. This open back aids in aerating the gloved, hard-working hand and keep it dry and agile on the dirt of the diamond. Like all in the A2000 series, this infield glove comes with a Pro Stock pattern, a custom design on the glove developed by Wilson's Advisory Staff. In addition to the open back, this Wilson mitt has Dri-Lex technology on the wrist guard of the glove, which will wick moisture away from your hard-working fingers, and keep your hand and wrist cool during gameplay. Finally, this glove is designed with flat-finger binding, which adds comfort and flexibility in the finger pouches, without sacrificing the protection needed to handle scorching hot grounders off your pitcher's fastball. Excellent quality glove Geoff Player

Pros: First time I put it on it had a great feel and form. It's high quality leather and precise stitching will keeping it lasting a lifetime.

Cons: It's really stiff when you first get it which takes a little longer to break in but as expected because of the high quality leather. I'm a freshman in high-school and the inside is slightly big for my hand but obviously everybody's hand is different.

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 11.50" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB191786? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this a "youth" glove? I'm looking for an 11.50 for my 12 year old son, he plays shortstop on both his teams.
The Wilson A2000 11.50" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB191786 is not intended for youth players. However, most players make the jump to adult sized gloves between the ages of 12-14 years. This is when we see player's hand strength allowing them to handle the stiffer adult glove options. The Wilson A1000 11.50" Pedroia Fit Baseball Glove: WTA10RB19DP15 may be a youth option to consider.
Could this glove be used by a fastpitch softball shortstop?
The Wilson A2000 11.50" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB191786 in my opinion would be a bit too small for a 12'' softball. I would recommend looking at a 12'' size for a smaller length glove for a shortstop.
What is a comparable glove that is of good quality to the Wilson A2000? My son wants an A2000 but we are trying to find a similar glove that is not as expensive. He is playing second base on his school team.
Laurie Aydelott
Generally speaking with glove, price is a pretty good indicator of quality in terms of the leather being used. Because of this, in my opinion there just really isn't a glove equal quality that is drastically cheaper. However, a good model around $150 or so would be the Rawlings HOH Mark Of A Pro 11.5" Baseball Glove: SP115BG that we have for $139.99, since it is currently discounted.
Can this be used for an outfielder?
Jeremie Noah
You certainly could use this Wilson A2000 11.5" (WTA20RB191786) model for outfield, but it is more suited and designed for infield play where the smaller 11.5" size helps with ball transfer out of the glove. Generally speaking, outfielders use gloves that are 12"-13" in size, with 12.5" probably being the most common.
Is the palm/pocket of this glove brown or black? It's hard to tell from the pictures.
Dan H.
The Wilson A2000 11.50" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB191786 will have a brown pocket.
Does this have too much white to pitch with?
No, this model should not be illegal for pitching as the leather color is more of a blonde, not a white.
Is this glove better for SS or 2nd base?
The Wilson A2000 11.50" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB191786 could be used at either position.
Could I use this glove playing third base freshman year?
Dylan Baldridge
Yes, this Wilson A2000 11.50" Baseball Glove (WTA20RB191786) would work great for a third baseman.
