Pros: Excellent choice for intermediate (4th to 8th Grade) catchers that will have their next glove be top of the line. Good glove for catcher that is not sure if he's going to continue on in the position but needs step above cheap or imitation leather products on the shelves. Should be able to get a year or two out of this product.
Cons: Old school wrist protective appendage which you may or may not like. Does not interfere but is not needed.

Pros: Excellent Mitt. Got this for my 10 year old - he uses it almost every day. A little bigger than i thought at fist but he is getting used to it. I love the broken in leather esp. for a 10 year old. Would definately get another and the price was incredible. I get all of my gloves from this website!
Cons: none
Tex Ritter
Pros: This glove is an awesome buy. It's ready to use right out the box. Good looking, fits really well, and at $50 bucks you can't beat it. I love this glove and would recommend it to everybody.
Cons: There is an oil or dye that dried on the inner catching part of the glove. It's not "comestically" perfect, but I don't mind at all.
Bill
Pros: Very quick delivery, and with free shipping both ways it was a risk free purchase. Tne glove fit great and was adult size as described by a tech support representative. The glove was very similar to a Shoeless Joe glove that we had seen for $150. It was about half way broken in. Very satisfied.
Cons: The glove was a bit oily when we got it but we needed a glove that was ready for play so not a bad trade-off.

Pros: Little break in time required. Used it in a game the day after I got it with no problem. Love the classic look
Cons:

Pros: Great mitt for the money! 7/8 broke in out of box.Unique feel and look.I feel like I should be taking a fast ball high and inside from B. Gibson with this mitt.Very happy!
Cons: Probably not built for ultra performance, but great for rec. and back yard.

About the Brand
Spalding was founded in 1876 by Boston Red Stockings pitcher A.G. Spalding. Spalding has been a leader of innovation and quality in sporting goods ever since. Spalding has been credited with developing the very first official baseball, basketball, golf ball and football.
A.G. Spalding was a very prominent and influential figure in baseball back in the early days of the game. He played for the Boston Red Stockings and in 1876 he left to play for the Chicago White Stockings, which would later become known as the Chicago Cubs. Spalding helped the White Stocking win the 1876 Inaugural National League Title. After the start of the following season Spalding retired from his playing days to become a full time businessman and team president for the White Stockings.
With an $800 loan from his mother Al Spalding opened up his own sporting goods company, which got its start by selling baseballs. Spalding’s baseballs became The Official Baseball of the National League, which gave him great advertising and exposure and people started to know Spalding Sporting Goods as quality products. As his company expanded Spalding started expanding into numerous outdoor activities and began developing golf clubs, tennis rackets, basketballs, and any other equipment needed for popular athletics at the time. Spalding sporting goods are now official products for many professional sports leagues and college conferences and amateur leagues.
