Shoeless Joe Gloves give players the quality, feel, and style of the gloves worn by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models worn in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series, today's models in the Professional Model Series, or youth gloves with the Joe Junior Series. Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Shoeless Joe gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the glove with a beaten up and "Game Worn" look and feel, of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique features. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. Pros: Excellent glove, pros should use it especially when enhanced by glove conditioner, then by neatsfoot leather grease. Actually stiffens.

Cons: Smell, that’s all. Tho conditioner about took that away.

Pros: As advertised. Great leather, color and even the smell. Bought a second for my 15 yr. old. Very pleased.

Cons: Seems about 1/2" small. Wish I had ordered a slightly bigger size. Think it will work out fine once it's even more broken in.

Pros: Good leather.

Cons: Would not fit on my medium size hand. The adjustable strap on back very confining. Sent back, trying a 12.50TT, if that doesn't work, looking for a different brand. Just Gloves very easy to deal with on returns.

My son is nine. He pitches and plays 3B. I see the Akadema AR88 youth is made with a small hand insert where your hand goes. How comparable is the Shoeless Joe 1250 BW glove? I worry about his hand being too small to put in the glove. He is 49" tall and 102 LBS. CRAIG
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250BW) will have a larger wrist opening and finger stalls compared to the ARC88 Youth from Akadema. A nine year old would be able to use either glove option. If he has average or above average wrists and hands, the 1250BW may be a better option.

Yes, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250BW) is .5" larger than the 1200BW model.

I am a pretty big guy. I am 6 foot 3, will this glove fit my hand? Or is the 1250TT a better option? Jeff
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250BW) and the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250TT) are the same size pattern, they just have different pocket styles. They should fit your hand as they are adult sized, they just may need to be loosened up through the break in process. Breaking in the inside of the glove is part of the process as well so that it adjusts to your hand.

The acronym BW on the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250BW stands for basket web which is the type of webbing associated with this particular model.

The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250BW features a 12.50 inch pattern and thus would work well for slowpitch softball.

I have a large wrist, 66 years old. Need a glove to play catch with grandkids. I had a really nice Rawlings from 20 years ago but lost it; it looked like this with closed web etc. I like the looks of this but concerned about large wrist and large hand. I am interested in this type of glove. Also, on my old Rawlings I could leave my index finger out of the glove, not sure why or how I ever got used to that but wondering your thoughts on this. We used to have a high end sporting goods store in Hopkins, MN, Kokesh Athletics. That is where I bought the old glove. They are no longer in business. I do not want a cheap glove; this one is in the right range I think. Michael Gardner
