Description

Shoeless Joe Gloves give a player the quality, feel and style of the gloves worn by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models worn in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series or today`s models in the Professional Model Series. The Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. This Shoeless Joe glove 1200BW is hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the Glove with a beaten up and `Game Worn` look and feel, of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique feature. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. A great play is lived only once, but your glove, you`ll keep it forever. If you end a game with a clean uniform, our gloves are not for you. Shoeless Joe: When it Was Just a Game. Free Shipping!

Pros: I have had my 12in. shoeless joe glove for about 4 weeks now, I oiled it one good time and it looks and feels better each time I use it. I have owned a few high end gloves ($200-$350) and they have nothing on the 12in shoeless joe glove. For $150 it's the best deal in Baseball.

Cons: Great glove!!!

Beef

Pros: This is the best glove I have ever owned. I played baseball for 13 years and wish the Shoeless Joe glove was available during that time. This is a unique glove that fits your hand the way it should. The aged leather is a great speaking piece. Use it right out of the box... you won't be sorry you bought it!

Cons: The only con is that if you don't own one of these gloves, you need to invest!

Pros: Easy break in (already half way there when you first put it on!). Great look (old school). Everyone asks about it (Shoeless what?). Deep pocket.

Cons: I get a bit of sting if my index finger isn't out of the glove (so it could do with a little more padding). Funky smell (I'm sure it's normal but I'm not much of a fan but the glove is so freakin good so I don't mind). Even with these little pet peeves it is still a 5 star glove. For $160 it is a steel!

Big Jake

Pros: Out of the box, this glove was soft and ready to go with one game of catch, a coat of oil, and a night wrapped with the big ball from the care kit. It feels rich and soft, but catch the ball in the pocket cause there isn't much padding.

Pros: Bought for my 10 year old son. He loves this glove and it was virtually broken in out of the box. It was fully broken in after 1 week of playing catch.

Cons: Not much padding. This is helped if you keep your index finder on the outside of the glove.

Pros: Ready to use day 1. Old school glove smell.Calms me down when I pitch. This is my 2nd shoeless joe. I have the 1125 cw and now the 1150 mt. I ordered the 1200 BW but it was too big and the company sent me a new one quickly. I stole the show last Saturday at short.

Cons: none at all.

Pros: We bought this glove for our son on Christmas and it was by far the best purchase we made. The glove is high quality. The leather is fantastic. It requires some work to break in but that is what you want in a glove. It is going to be HIS once the break in is complete. He absolutely loves it. It is a head turner for sure on the field. Performance is great. I'm confident this will last a lifetime. Worth every penny.

Pros: I just bought this glove and I already love it. It feels nice to wear it offers good protection and has a good pocket. I feel like a MLB player when I wear the glove. I love the look, smell, and feel. Great glove for any player at any position.

Cons: the only slight problem is that when I close the glove the leather kind of pinches my palm but that could be a result of the way I broke it in.

Smells and feels funky Jimmy D player

Pros: great vintage look, supple leather looks already broken in

Cons: the entire glove feels kinda greasy and tacky with whatever oil is coating the leather. it actually makes it hard to get my hand in the glove because it is so sticky. feel like i need to wash my hands every time i handle it. has an overpowering funky chemical smell - different than my rawlings heart of the hide or my nakona.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Shoeless Joe Professional 12" Baseball Glove: 1200BW? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Do you think this glove will be ok in slowpitch softball if I play 2nd base? Joe
I think it would be. Generally, a 12 to 12.5 inch glove is preferred for 2nd base in slowpitch softball.
Brett
Will this model work for a 9 year old youth? th kid
This glove will probably be to big for a nine year old. The hand stalls and finger stalls would be to big. I would recommend looking under the youth gloves that we do carry. Those gloves are going to have smaller hand and finger stalls.
Brett
I like the Shoeless Joe glove. What would be the best model for a 13 yr. old playing outfield, lefty thrower? jimmy b.
This would be a perfect size for a 13 year old playing outfield
K.B.
Can you use this glove in the outfield for middle or high school? bwalk
This glove would be great for outfield.
Shelbe
Would this be a good size for a 12 year old playing 3rd base, pitcher and center field? Very competitive player and team. Kenny
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW is a good glove for a 12 year old playing third base, pitcher, and outfield. Typically a third baseman would wear an 11.75" glove. However, since this is going to be used as a versatile glove between all three positions, I would say that this glove will work great as many pitchers and outfielders prefer a 12.00" model.
Austin
What country are the Shoeless Joe Gloves manufactured in? Zach1
Shoeless Joe Gloves are manufactured in Mexico.
Zach
Compared to a typical Rawlings, Wilson, or Mizuno is the size of this glove compatible, bigger or smaller? Vader
The Rawlings, Wilson, Mizuno, and the Shoeless Joe gloves are all going to be comparable in size and quality.
Tom
My kid will be 15 years old this season, and would like to try out for the 9th grade high school team. He pitches, plays outfield, and occasionally infield. Would this be a good glove for him? Kevin
Yes, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW will be a great utility glove to use in all of these positions.
Noah
My son currently uses a Rawlings SL12XTCB 12" glove. He is a big eight year old kid. Would this glove be similar in size to what he is playing with now? Corey TD
Yes, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW is a 12" model. It will be very similar in size.
Frank
Looking for a fastpitch infielders glove for a 14 year old girl. What glove would you recommend? mike
Based on her age and position we recommend a 11.75" glove such as the Shoeless Joe Shoeless Jane Fastpitch Series: 1175FPHW.
Kara
I have a 14 year old son that plays competitive baseball who is 5' 11' and 185 lbs. He plays third base. I'm a little confused on whether to get him a 11, 11.5 or 12" glove. Also, I've never heard of Shoeless Joe gloves. Are they a stable company and is this glove on the quality of an A2000? I'm comparing those two. Dane
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW is a high quality glove and Shoeless Joe is a stable, reputable company. The A2000 Series are high quality, durable gloves that will require an extensive break-in period, while the Shoeless Joe will be game ready right away. We recommend an 11.50" for a 14 year old third baseman, such as the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150HW.
Katie
What is the difference between the Shoeless Joe 1200BW and the 1200VL? Sezwho
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1200BW) will have a basket web, while the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1200VL) will have a reinforced closed web. Both gloves will feature the 12.00 inch pattern as well as the same hand-rubbed antique tobacco leather.
Joe
Looking for a fast pitch outfielder glove for a 13 year old girl. What do you suggest? Is Shoeless Joe the best brand to go with? Kim
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1200BW) is actually designed for baseball players with larger finger-stalls and a larger hand-opening. The fast pitch model will be the Shoeless Joe Shoeless Jane Fastpitch Series (1200FPBW). Additionally, you could consider the Nokona Walnut Series (AMG175X) or the Wilson A2000 Series (WTA20RF15CAT Fastpitch).
Joe
I am a utility player who plays most positions including pitcher 3rd and outfield. Will this work for these positions in high school? Jaun
Given its 12.00" pattern, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1200BW) would be a great glove for a utility player such as yourself.
Marcus
Is this a good size for a 13 year old? He plays 3B, SS, CF, and P. MJ32
At 12.00", the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW would a solid option for a player who plays both infield and outfield.
Marcus
Would this size fit a 23 year old man? How can I find out my size? AKC
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW is a 12.00 inch pattern that can certainly be a good fit for a person who is 23. As for looking into your sizing chart, please look into the following glove coach link: http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/
Cameron
Would you recommend this glove for a college pitcher on a budget? LyndonState
If you like the look of retro gloves, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW would work for you.
Logan
I have purchased two gloves off you guys so far. I am looking for a glove for my 12-year-old son. What glove do you guys recommend? Jaybar
The correct size to get a 12 year old player will vary depending on what position(s) the player plays. The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW is an adult glove best suited for a pitcher. Could also be used at 3B for a bigger player; when I say bigger I would say someone who is 6'2" or taller. A better option might be the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150SF; this model is better suited for an infielder.
Cameron
Playing in a vintage men's hardball league 35+, I'm a left handed pitcher and outfielder. Will this serve me well for both positions? mark
Yes, this glove is a good size for use in both the outfield and pitcher position.
Kyle J.
What glove size would you recommend for a ten year old that plays pitcher,3rd, and center field? Matt
A 10 year that plays center, third and pitches would be most suitable for a 11.75'' or a 12''. The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW might be a bit large fitting on the hand of a 10 year old.
Max
Does this web design come in a 13” size for men? Ken Mccarthy
Unfortunately, there is not a 13 inch model of the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1200BW. The 13 inch models from Shoeless Joe will not feature the basket web, they have a modified T and single post option.
Cameron
My son is 13. Primarily plays third and pitches, but does move around to middle infield and outfield. Would you consider this a good compromise for his needs? Jim L
The Shoeless Joe Professional 12" Baseball Glove: 1200BW would be a good glove to use at 3B, pitcher and OF but not ideal for middle infield play. For middle infield, we would recommend gloves at 11.25-11.75 inches.
