Shoeless Joe Gloves give players the quality, feel, and style of the gloves used by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models used in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series, today's models in the Professional Model Series, or youth gloves with the Joe Junior Series. Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Shoeless Joe gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the glove with a beaten up and "Game Worn" look and feel, of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique features. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. A great play is lived only once, but your glove, you'll keep it forever. If you end a game with a clean uniform our gloves are not for you. Shoeless Joe: When It Was Just a Game. Free Shipping!
remove_circle_outlineCons: This is the 3rd Shoeless Joe glove my family has purchased, but this one came stiff as a board. Not broken in at all and will require a LOT of work to get it game-ready. You can't even open/close this glove without sitting on it or using both hands on the sides of the glove. This glove is no better than any other run of the mill glove that requires a lot of work to break in. Definitely not what we're used to with Shoeless Joe gloves...
I had a Rawlings mitt for a while and it lasted for 2 years. Does this have the same quality?
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1175IW is a quality glove. The leather is pre-oiled and will not require a break-in.
Which glove has better quality? This glove or the Evan Longoria game model?
Both the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1175IW and the Wilson Evan Longoria Game Day glove will have great comfort and durability. The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1175IW will be very soft and nearly game ready from day one.
My son 13 plays travel baseball. He is a short stop and makes lots of one handed catches. Is this gloves good for that?
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1175IW is too large for his position and age. We recommend a 11.25". The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1125CW would be a great alternative.
I play third base, I already have a Heart of the Hide I-web 11.5 inch glove. I feel that it is too small. I have pretty big hands. I know I should have a small glove for a quicker exchange. I am about 6 foot 4 and weigh 200 pounds, would this glove work?
future draft pick
The 11.75 inch size of the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1175IW) is a great size for playing third. It is not so large that it would prevent a quick transfer but long enough that you can snag some of the balls up the line that you may not have with an 11.5 inch glove.
I have to play outfield and infield with my showcase team. Will this work for both?
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1175IW) is a great glove for infield but odds are, it will be a little small for outfield. Outfielders tend to prefer a larger glove.
Does this glove come put together?
There will be no assembly required with the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1175IW) baseball glove.
Would this glove fit the hand of a 7 year old?
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1175IW) would not typically fit for a player of that age. It is intended for older more adult sized players. You would want something made for smaller hands like the Shoeless Joe Joe Junior Series (1000JR Youth).
Does this glove arrive already knowing how to catch balls or do I need to teach it?
Unfortunately, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series 1175IW does NOT arrive already knowing how to catch balls. It is up to the user of the mitt to teach it. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
I'm 12 years old and I play outfield. Is this glove good for me?
This Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1175IW) will come with an 11.75" length and adult fitting. In regard to length, it should be just fine for use in the outfield by a 12 year old player. The fitting could be a little large, but it will give you an option into which your hand will grow with time.
My son is 15 and plays outfield and sometimes second base. Would this be a good glove for him?
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1175IW would be a good option for 2nd base as it is an infielder glove. For the outfield through I would probably recommend something larger, such as the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT.
I have an 11 yr old with a small frame hand that plays 2B and SS. Will this glove fit him well?
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1175IW has more of an adult fit for the hand and for an 11 year old player this may not be the best fit. An option you may want to consider from a size standpoint would be the Shoeless Joe Professional Series Baseball Glove: 1150IW. Although it features the same adult fit, the smaller size maybe easier to control.
The other Shoeless Joe gloves I have purchased came broken in. Is this glove broken in as well?
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1175IW will feature little break-in out of the box. Some may feel it requires no break-in at all.

Pro Soft Glove Conditioner
(1) - First remove any existing dirt by wiping the glove with a clean, dry cloth. (2) - When clean, rub a small amount of conditioner into the leather with hands or clean cloth. (3) - Work it into the web, palm, laces, inside of the glove, & any other area that has become dry or is starting to crack. (4) - When finished, place your glove in a warm, dry area (70 - 90 F) & allow the leather to absorb the conditioner for 24 hrs. (5) - Re-treat your glove when you notice the leather is starting to dry out. Prior to the off-season, apply a light coat of conditioner to keep the leather from becoming brittle.
