The best way to determine the correct glove size for a player is by their age and position. Typically utility players use an 11.75" or 12" gloves. The 11.50" pattern on the Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1150) might be a little small. The Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1175) is an excellent glove for a utility player. The pocket appears to be pretty deep. Can this glove be worn by a slow pitch softball second baseman? Sean
The Nokona X2 Elite Series: (X2-1150) will have a fairly deep pocket. The kangaroo and stampede leather used in its construction will also make this glove extremely sturdy, and long lasting. I don't think it would be a problem if you used it. However, do keep in mind this glove was originally designed for infield play in baseball.

My son is an 11u travel player that plays 2b. He has the Nokona glove, but looking for a longer term glove. What are your thoughts on the X2 Elite? MDS
The Nokona X2 Elite (X2-1150) will use a high quality of leather that will be very durable. The X2 Elite will also provide a very quick break in period which is rare for a glove with this quality of leather. A player would not have a problem using this glove for a long term period.

I am 13 and I play jv baseball. My main positions are pitcher and corner infield (third for this glove). Is this a glove that will last me throughout a season or two and stay nice and stiff? Jtw34
The Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1150) is a high end model from Nokona. Depending on how often the glove is used and if proper glove care technique is followed, it has the potential to last a couple seasons and not become floppy.

The Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1150) would be a bit small for what we would expect an outfielder to use but could still potentially be used at that position if you needed it to work for infield. The larger
Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1275) would be more typical of an outfield model.

Unfortunately, we do not have the 2015 model of the 2016 Nokona X2 Elite Series: X2-1150 anymore. This is an adult glove and it would technically be the adult version of the X2-200.

If you wear this glove with your pointer-finger exposed, will it rub against the welting that comes all the way down the outside of the glove? Ultimately, ruining the welting? Essi
If you were to wear this Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1150) with your index finger exposed, I do not think that the index finger rubbing on the welting will ruin the welting. However, if for some reason the welting did break down, Nokona does offer a 2 year manufacturer's warranty period on the mitt and you could send the mitt to Nokona for it to be fixed.
