Pros: The leather is very soft and the fit for 13u is great.

Cons: The laces do not hold up. I bought one for each of my sons and I am constantly making adjustments and having to retighten. I have rarely had to do this with our Rawlings or A2000

Pros: 100% Made in USA. Fit and finish of a hand made glove is outstanding. The glove has game playable feel out of the wrapper. It's light, correct size 12u and down. My kids are 5,7,9,11 and they all use it. Free 1 year warranty/re-lacing from Nokona. I've dealt with them on other models I have owned, and they don't ask questions other then what's wrong and then they fix the problem. I.E. My sons S200 was a bit loopy, - they put in a firmer padding and now ti's amazing. - The company just rocks. The leather is amazing in feel and it can really stick to the baseballs. However, it's not sticky. Slightly abraded which is perfect for catching the ball. - I'm keeping this one.

Cons: The only cons are that the glove pocket is not very deep out of the wrapper like other gloves are. However, it is the right depth for a youth player to keep the ball in with little effort of squeezing it in there. It's probably 30% broken in. It's up to you to break the hinges.

The Nokona Select Plus Series Catchers Mitt Glove: S-2 will feature a intermediate fit, so it will be more beneficial for kids that are a little bit older than 9 years old. I would recommend looking at a youth fit for your player.

I need to buy a catcher's mitt for my 11 and 9 year old. This seems like a good choice. Question is, can I squeeze my big paw in there if I need to catch these two screw balls? RG

The Nokona Select Plus Series Catchers Mitt Glove: S2 is designed with a snug fit for younger players and so we would not recommend this mitt for an adult. The smaller wrist opening and tighter fingers stalls will make it tough to get a larger hand in.

Is this the same S2 Alpha Select mitt I have found on the Nokona website? Kevin Donham

Yes, this Nokona Select Plus Series Catchers Mitt Glove (S-2) will be the same as the Alpha Select + S-2 featured on Nokona. The lighting in our picture and the lighting in the Nokona picture are slightly different which makes the coloring look off between the two. However, they are the same mitt.
