Pros: Very nice glove for my grandson. Soft and easy for him to use. The sales rep was very helpful.
Cons:
Greg
Pros: Great glove. Easy to break in and great "pop" when catching those fastballs. Have had only a couple of weeks and my 9 year old was given opportunity to play catcher and used the mitt. The advantage to having this 33.5" mitt is that although he may not have caught them all (1st time at catcher) he was able to knock down those wild pitches. Highly recommend.
Cons: None
Coach Don
Pros: You will not find a better glove for the money. This will be the second Mizuno glove for my 12 year old (13 in September). We purchased this one as the description said "transitional" because he did not want to give up his "flex V" 31.5"prospect he used for three years. (I highly recomend that glove to any 9-11 year old player ) Although his hands and strength could handle a larger glove he is in the 50/70 12U Cal Ripken League and home to second is 99' vs 84'10" in regular 46'/60' play. A shallower pocket means a quicker pop to second. Hope this helps!
Cons:
Baseball dad
Pros: Quality glove, easy to break in. Big 33.5 size to catch or block bouncing dirt balls.
Cons: Big size also makes the pocket a little harder to handle. Note the "youth transitional size". This is not a youth glove but more like a size for middle school aged kids before they get to full, adult sizes gloves (about age 12-14?). I don't recommend for kids under 12 unless they have big hands.
cool dude

Pros: very good glove, holds up very well and has an outstanding pocket. I have had it for a year and a half catching guys who throw 60s and it has held up very well
Cons: parts of the leather fall off and it gets floppy and balls pop out of it but overall great glove for the price

Francisco
Pros: Cheap
Cons: glove gets floppy quick, and way to easy to break in. Padding shifts and detiorates after 1 season.
DC Baseball Dad
Pros: Well-constructed. Breaks in quickly. Great pocket and cushioning. Provides outstanding control over the ball.
Cons: None. My son loves this mitt. If your player liked the Mizuno Prospect at the junior level, the Mizuno Supreme GXC94 is a great transition to a larger mitt.
blackwidow

Cons: it is hard to work in
Catcher Guy
Pros: heard go things about this glove and i admit going from a Wilson to a Mizuno was hard but the reviews convinced me

The Mizuno website lists the GXC94, 33.5 in as a full sized adult glove. Is this a youth glove or adult glove? Rich
You say that this would be one of the best mitts for a 12 yr old. But what about the GXC 105. I'm at a toss up between the 2. Mizuno advertizes the 105 as a transition mitt. So besides a slight size difference, what is the differance between the two? Joe
I'm not sure what the correct size glove to buy for my son. He is 14 (big hands, big feet) and wears an adult large winter glove. His bigger than most kids on his BaseBall team, so when I see the comments that it's good for a 12-14 year old, I think it might be too small for my 5'9" son. Please help -- thanks! CarolD
My 10 yr old hurt him thumb in a competitors glove. His thumb is still slightly sore from last season (3 months ago). Does this glove have a strong and protective thumb section? Thanks- sammae
My 12 year old daughter is a catcher. Would this glove be good for softball? Thank you! Kelly
I like the looks of the mitt. I have read through all the questions and answers on your website. It says this glove is for a 12-14 year old from one expert and another expert says would be great for an 8 to 11 year old. What is the correct sizing per age. I have an 8 year old son who is the size of a 10 year old with big hands and feet. Any feedback would be appreciated. jacksprat
My son will be 12 in June - looking for a catchers mitt for a left handed thrower. Any suggestions - this glove or another - want something with a big enough basket and easy to break in. Ang
I am 14 years old A freshmen catcher I'm 5'8 and about 150 pounds I was wondering will this gloves fit me for this season and for following seasons. if not then what other gloves would you recommend in this price range, thanks for your help I appreciate it. Roger
I am looking for a new glove for my 12 year old son with small hands. He has a Mizuno GXC104. I don't know if the glove is too small or it is just a bad fit as it seems barely open when he catches with it. I want something with a bigger target, but something he can still close with small hands. He will probably catch 20% of the time so he doesn't need a great glove. Would you recommend this glove? Ryan
My son is 10 and catches about 40% of the time. He is 5' 97 lbs. with large hands. Would you recommend this mitt for him, or should I stick with a smaller youth model? Nick
I have a tall 9 year old and he has just move to a 12.5" fielding glove. Is this glove too big? Rebecca

My son is 12 and making the transition to middle school ball. He's not a big kid but has been catching travel for the last 4 years. Is this a good glove for a smaller player moving on to middle school ball? Steve
My 11 year old loves his Mizuno Prospect but it's getting small. He is a serious catcher on a travel team and wants another Mizuno. He is smaller and weighs 85 pounds with small hands but we want something he will grow into for several years. Do you recommend GXC94 or something a bit smaller? Jason
How much smaller is the GXC95Y than the GXC94. Im looking to replace my sons Prospect with a deeper pocket, he is also 9. Parker
My daughter is 13 yrs old. I was wanting to buy her a new catcher's glove and was wondering if a 34 inch glove was too big? Dan Patton
My son is 8 coming 9 years old and is a little small for his age. He is starting his 1st year of travel ball and they are wanting to use him at catcher. What would be the best mitt for him? Size and brand? deeprvr31
I catch my 12 yr old daughter for her pitching lessons. I normally wear a 13.5 glove, but I am needing something with a little more padding and decided to go with a mitt. I feel like I have smaller hands for an adult (I am a female). Middle finger to heel of my hand is 7 inches. Pointer finger to heel is 6 1/2 inches. Would this glove work for me? Casey
