It is also going to surpass the regular Prospect gloves in regard to the quality of leather being used to build the glove. The regular Prospects are typically going to feature a pigskin material that builds out the shell of the glove, but these Prospect Select gloves are going to be built with a Full Grain leather that should be able to handle a little bit higher level of play and last a bit longer.
These gloves should be able to benefit beginning players and even ones who are starting to progress a little bit further in their fastpitch journey. My daughter is 11 years old and will be playing club team fastpitch softball at the 12U level this coming season. She is 80 lbs. and 4'7" tall. She is small for her age but strong. This team plays summer tournaments. She had been playing softball for 3 years now going on 4. She plays mainly 2nd base and pitcher. This glove, at 12 inches, is plenty large enough as she is using an 11.5 now. My question, is this still youth and thus too young for her level of play or does it not really matter at the 12U level? I am not looking for more than a season of usage. jason
