mizuno franchise M's mom parent

Pros: Great glove. You can use it pretty much right away. My daughter actually plays fastpitch and loves this glove. She plays outfield and the pocket is deep enough. Glove is easy to close and she can get the ball out quickly to continue playing.

Cons: As with softer leather gloves you may have to replace it a bit more often but with the price that is ok.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series: GFN1176B1? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I'm looking at buying this glove, but I'm not sure about the break-in time. It's so new, there really aren't any reviews to tell me. I'm fine with a long break-in time, as a matter of fact, I prefer it. I like being able to shape my own glove. Do you know the break-in time? Buddy
The Mizuno Franchise Series: GFN1176B1 will require a break-in time of about two weeks. The two week period should help you form your pocket however you want.

What is the difference between the Mizuno Franchise Series and the Nokona Walnut series (leather wise) tyball
The Mizuno Franchise Series: GFN1176B1 leather is going to be game ready full grain leather. With this glove, you will not need much of a break in time. For the Nokona series you are typically going to find a classic walnut crunch leather. This leather is going to be tougher and stronger. A break in period will be required.

When will this glove be back in stock? Tank
We do not have an exact date for when we will get more Mizuno Franchise Series (GFN1176B1) back in stock. Typically, out of stock items take about 2-4 weeks to be back in stock.
Jason
I am looking for a glove for my wife. What would you recommend? osprey
The Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series (GFN1176B1) will feature an 11.75 inch pattern with an adult male sized wrist opening and finger stalls. It is likely that this model is a little too large for her, we would actually recommend a fastpitch model that is designed for women such as the Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series (GFN1200F1). This model will have slightly smaller finger stalls and a smaller wrist opening that is more likely to fit an adult female.
Joe
My son is 9 years old. He plays outfield, third, and pitches. He has large hands for his age. Is this a good glove for him? A
The Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series (GFN1176B1) could be a good fit if the player has large enough hands to use an adult style glove. This glove will have easily adjustable wrist closure so you can secure it but the finger stalls may be a bit big.
Patrick

Jason
I'm 13 years old. I play both 3rd base and pitcher. Would this size glove be too big for me? UD baseball
At 11.75", the Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series: GFN1176B1 would be a great option for both third base and pitching.
Marcus
Would this be good glove for a short stop and second basemen? david
The Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series: GFN1176B1 and its 11.75 inch pattern would be a better fit for a 3B. If looking for a middle infield glove, would recommend looking into an 11.25 inch or 11.50 inch pattern as these two sizes would be better for turning double plays.

Which is better this glove or the GMVP1175B2 BA277
Both the Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series: GFN1176B1 and the 2016 Mizuno MVP Series: GMVP1175B2 are excellent, high-quality baseball gloves. I would not say that one is necessarily better than the other as that will be subjective depending upon who you ask.

(1) What is "JAVA" leather ? (2) Is this glove real leather or a bonded leather product? BA277
(1) The "Java" name used to describe the leather refers to the coloring on the leather of the glove. (2) The shell of this Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series (GFN1176B1) will be real leather. However, in the inner finger linings, it will be made of more of a "felt-like" material.
Ben
What age group would this glove be fit for? High school? Kane Brumbaugh
Although it is not specifically listed, this Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series (GFN1176B1) will come with a snug fitting to it that will work best for a player that is youth or adolescent aged. The fitting will probably be a little small for a high school aged player.
Ben
Ordered Mizuno 11.75 GPT1175Y1, which I don't see on here anymore. but the opening is too small for my son...he is 11 years old. What can you recommend for a his age same size? He liked the Mizuno glove with the padding. Walt
I would recommend checking out the Mizuno Franchise Baseball Series (GFN1176B1). It is not going to be a youth fit like the 2016 Mizuno Prospect Series Youth Black/Silver Glove (GPT1175Y1), but it is still going to be a little smaller than most adult gloves.
