The Acadia Series from Marucci is going to deliver an exceptional glove for young players looking for some quality leather -and- one that can pick it all over the diamond!
The glove's hand fitting is going to be designed more for a player that hasn't quite reached their teenage years and the inside of the glove will deliver the quality that you expect to see from Marucci products. The palm lining on the inside of the glove will be made of leather, plus it will be extra soft with added protection for the glove hand. Also on the inside of the glove will be a microfiber wrist backing and finger linings. The presence of the microfiber materials on the inside of the glove should help keep the glove lightweight & soft (and thus easier to break in).
This 11.5" glove is equipped with a single post web and has the look of an infield glove. However, it will work well for use at any position on a youth diamond!

My son is 8 years old and is starting to get very serious about baseball and plays year round. Next year he will probably play travel ball. He is left handed so that limits his choices. Would you recommend this glove, the Rawlings R9 or something else for him? Also, is 11.5 the right size? Drew
Would you recommend this glove, R9 or A1000 for 9 yr old? Seems the A1000 and R9 are slightly better for older, marginally bigger hands. James
