Pros: I bought this glove for my 10 yr old little league/10u club baller. He plays shortstop and loved it from the get-go. He was pleased with how fast and easy it broke in. he bought the 11.50 and I believe this should last him for many years to come as a middle infielder..
Cons: absolutely nothing.
V MAN
Pros: GREAT FEEL, QUICK ACTION,GOOD PADDING
Cons: NONE YET

Pros: This glove is an amazing value. The structure is very well made and durable. Love it so much I may buy a second one in case I lose the first one. Had a $399 Wilson A2K but gave it to a family member as I liked this glove much better...and all for less than a quarter of the price!
Cons: Absolutely, none. All gloves need to be broken in and this one is no different.

Pros: Absolutely great quality for the money. Stiff perimeter with a shallow pocket is perfect for the mid infield. Holds shape well has good padding & I love the sound of a ball hitting the leather.
Cons: I lost mine after I had it perfectly broken in. Takes more effort than expected to break in but worth it. Younger players who want a deeper pocket should look at the Flare series.
sick kid
Pros: this glove is the best for the money it breaks in great and if u loosen the laces in the pocket it forms great
Cons: hot
ball player
Pros: great glove forms to your hand nicely takes a while to break in this shows the quality of the leather
Cons: lacing in pocket can get sloppy

My 8 year old son currently uses this glove: Mizuno GPP1151 Prospect Youth Baseball Glove (11.5"). He plays centerfield and first base. Would he be able to handle this Omaha glove? Are there youth Omaha gloves? mdogg56
Hello, I am looking at purchasing this glove for recreational use during the occasional ball game with friends and while practicing with my niece for fastpitch. I currently have a 12.5 Rawlings Mark of A Pro glove, but wanted to give this glove a try so I could work on my fielding. Is this a quality glove that will last? I am an adult male and I'm wondering if this 11.5 would be ok to use (or if it would be too small). Thanks in advance- AJ
Do you think the webbing in this glove is ok for pitching in high school, or will you be able to see finger movements through it? Daniel27
My son plays on an 11U travel team, he plays center field but does spend some time at 3rd. He's average size for his age group. He currently uses a 11.25 Nike glove and would like a deeper pocket. Would this glove offer this option, will it be heavier than the Nike and will it fit a smaller hand? A-Dawg
Will this glove fit an 11 year olds hand who is a little bigger than average and is this glove all leather? Kenny

My son is playing 11U travel and is looking to upgrade. He plays 2nd and outfield. Please let me know if the pro series 11.5 or the Flare 11.5 would suit him better. Huck
Do you really have to use that glove oil stuff because it seems like a pain? I play catch with my son who plays for the atlee all stars and i was wondering if we played catch everyday would it eventually break in without the oil. Beast Man
What padding do you think is better, the Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series or the Rawling Gold Glove Legend Series? Thanks again for all your help. nate
My son is 13 1/2 and will start high school next fall. He primarily plays SS, 3B, and P. I almost got him an Omaha Select model as a youth as I've always liked them. Looking at this as a first "adult" primary glove. Would like thoughts on this and suggestions for other quality/high value gloves to look at ( I don't have the resources to go $200+). RSMBob
Is this glove good for a 14 year old third baseman that plays c prep and is going into high school next year? Beast22

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
