Pros: I love this mitt. No wonder so many pro players use this. You'll be amazed at how soft it is.
Cons: I prefer a conventional back to a Velcro strap.
Pros: before i used this mitt i had problems with thumb injuries. not anymore once i bought this mitt. i have used it for over a year in about 150 games and its still going strong. the leather is the softest and it is the lightest mitt i have put my hand in. i have used all the major brands and this is
Cons: nothing that i can think of
Pros: this is a great glove, you will love it the minute you get it. i am amazed at how durable this glove is.
Cons: the lacing frayed quickly and i have had to relace it a couple of times. took some time to break in
Pros: Unbelievable glove. This is the best catchers mitt on the market.
Cons: Lacing isnt as strong.I would replace it with A2K laces.
Pros: Wow...this glove is great..i love house it feels
Cons: none
Pros: great glove. soft leather. deep pocket worth the money
Cons: doesnt keep the shape i like and if you put too much glove oilon it it gets soft QUICK!!! weak laces and webbing stretches easily
Pros: i've always been a rawlings guy... but i'm so glad i made the switch to all-star to match my gear. glove is very light and breaks in very fast
Cons: laces seem to stretch out very fast and i think the glove may break in too much
Pros: Best Catchers mitt I've ever used. Retains shape, durable, Breaks in nicely, Top of the line, An outstanding glove
Cons: Price, Laces stretch a little too much, Velcro back, (I'm more of an open back guy thats just a personal prefference)
Pros: breaks in quick same glove as their pro clinets most used gloved in the pros keeps it shape looks good deep pocket
Cons: other people wanted to use it, because it is the best glove on the market i have used a Pro Preferred and A2000, they dont even compare to it
Pros: Easy to break in. Comfortable. Nice pocket
Cons:
Pros: Solid mitt. I have a few guys on my rec team who throw in the mid 80's - this mitt protects my hand quite well. It broke in faster than I thought it would, but having guys throwing that hard combined with the glove oil and mallet really brought this thing around quick. It's a better mitt than I am catcher!
Cons: Expensive! Looks like the laces in the webbing are starting to stretch a bit, but I don't think that's going to be serious problem anytime soon. Needs some break-in time, but that's true of any quality mitt, especially a catcher's mitt.
Pros: This is the best catchers mitt I've ever had. I have had a Rawlings Pro Preferred, this blows that glove out of the water. If your a college or high school catcher buy this glove its worth the money.
Cons: After a while it gets a little floppy but if you condition it a lot it keeps it stiff.
Pros: Okay mitt leather is very soft. No padding at all in the mitt.Do not recommend the glove to anyone
Cons: No padding.....
Pros: feels great should break in amazing!
Cons: All star logo and proflied toe logos are faded
Pros: Best catchers glove on the market by far, break in time is fast. Glove has amazing padding and holds its form perfectly
Cons: none best glove ever
Pros: Great glove! I've had my CM3000SBT for two years now and I can say with 100% certainty that it is the best glove I have used. And I will continue to use! MFRA
Cons: NONE!!!
Pros: Very light and very durable Best catchers glove I've had
Cons: Don't use oil on it. it will leave oil stains
Pros: This is by far the best mitt out there. I used to use another company bc my school gave them to us but I had to go back to this....I get mine straight from All Star and in a week i feel comfortable enough to bring it out in a game. the leather is so strong but breaks in quickly. Sometimes when a glove breaks in so quick that means it breaks down quick as well. not with these though! I have several SBT's from highschool that are in great shape. (granted i use them for only one year)
Cons: None that I could think of.
Pros: quick break in, great pocket, lasts forever
Cons: its too sexy
Pros: This mitt is the best there is. Great leather, very comfortable, and amazing pop! I can't wait till I start catching with it in games this spring. Best catchers mitt ever
Cons: NOTHING!!
Pros: Best catchers mitt there ever will be! Insane leather, good padding, great pop and feel. Durable (very). Breaks in in 5 days and lasts forever! Buy it
Cons: No_thing
Pros: BEST GLOVE ON THE MARKET. Easy break in, extremely durable, great for high school and college catchers. Better than any other brand, rawlings, wilson, mizuno, nokona etc. had this glove for a season and i am in love with it. handles low to mid 90's with ease.
Cons: none.
Pros: Great overall
Cons: none none none none none none none none none none, none none, do you think I think their are cons or nooooooooo
Pros: I was using a rawlings pro preffered to catch for my high school team after catching a guy only throwing around 82 with no batting glove undernieth my hand was busted up and bruised. I got this glove and i can now catch our fastest guy throwing upper 80's without a glove undernieth this is such high quality and you will never have to worry to much about catching it in the wrong spot
Cons: None
Pros: This mitt is a obviously a well-crafted, high-end glove. The leather is somewhat softer than others but appears to be quite durable. Glove is a little stiff but should break in relatively easy. It is well-padded to the extent you cannot feel any "sting" from a thrown fastball. The leather was the biggest surprise. It's doesn't feel like the leather used in the Rawlings or Wilson high-end gloves. In fact, I may not use conditioning oil on this one.
Cons: The Price. Ouch! Take a deep breath and bend over because All-Star is obviously proud of their product, as shown from the high price. I just hope it holds up as well as some of the high-end mitts I've used from other manufacturers that didn't cost quite this much.
Pros: Excellent glove soft but holds its shape and lasts...don't use oil or at least not very much...can't really imagine someone saying there is no padding, because all of mine have had great padding.
Cons: none
Pros: ive had numerous gloves in my life and by far this is the best glove ive ever owned break in was easy and it stays stiff
Cons: none
Pros: Leather quality is the best I've ever had. Much better than my previous wilson A2000 showcase 32.5. It looks great. Sounds even better-just what pitchers, and umpires, love.
Cons: velcro wrist strap, skinnier laces
Pros: This glove is gorgeous! So far I've had it for only a week now. Close to game ready but not quite. I have only caught a few bullpens but it's very close. Beautiful glove, greatest sound a glove could make and overall great quality.
Cons: A bit pricey but worth every penny.
Pros: Very soft leather and high quality glove. Only had the glove for a few days, but the leather is starting to loosen and become broken in.
Cons: Stiff leather at first
Pros: Stays nicely formed and my finger doesn't get bruised when I use it.
Cons: Nothing
Pros: this glove is the best mitt i have ever used, i will never go back to another glove. it was very easy to break in. it has the best feeling when it comes to reciving the ball. the sound it makes when the ball is caught is like no other. my favorate things about the glove is how it closes when you catch the ball and i find it much easier to transfer the ball compared to my other mitts. my throw down to second feels much smoother when it comes to the transfer of the ball. overall best catchers mitt.
Cons: the bad thing about this glove is there is no bad things about it lol
Pros: My son loves his new glove. This is the best glove we have ever purchased for him. It is very light weight, nice pocket size and is breaking in fast. Still need some time with it to get the squeeze just right.
Cons: Nothing so far.
Pros: Breaks in incredibly fast, doesn't need any special treatment just sit back and catch with it and shape it how you like. Has a great pocket but not to deep. Leather lasts and it stays stiff.
Cons: I would recommend using a glove when you catch with it because your sweat can make the leather crack and cause the glove to not stay as stiff
Pros: This is a great value and great glove. Yes laces especially in catchers gloves stretch and wear out they need to be replaced periodically. I liked someones idea of A2K laces, as they seem like good quality brand name laces, but if you use the glove even those laces will need replacing. Someone complained about the faded wording on the glove...for me it will wear off the front side anyways so I don't care and mine were plenty bold enough. The tanning on this glove is different than the harder tanned brands like many of the Wilson A2000 and Rawlings HOH and above. Those last 2 can take more oil, I recommend just enough oil to help keep moisture out. This type of leather does better with less oil than many other gloves. Good gloves take time to break in, this is relatively fast breaking in, but it is still stiff and takes time.
Cons: The velcro wrist doesn't have as much adjustment as the regular leather lace in wrist...some will like and some won't. In the event that you need a replacement pinky loop, you won't be able to get it from AS, but this is not so much a con as it would be nice if they sold the more obscure replacement pieces. That too, you can remedy. It is the best glove regardless.
Pros: great glove after you break it in
Cons: took alot of time to break it in, but worth the wait.
Pros: Broke in extremely fast. Was game ready within a week. Deep pocket, but still quick enough for transfers. Extremely light and easy to handle
Cons: Can tend to flatten inside the pocket if not worked on.
Pros: my son has been catching for six years and this by far is the best mit he has ever had (he is 16 years old now)
Cons: none
Pros: amazing pocket, great web
Cons: NOTHING
Pros: Bought this mitt for college baseball and it broke in perfect with my hand and it holds its shape and pocket. Best glove I have ever owned. I use it every day and it is just amazing.
Cons: None at all
Pros: I caught all through high school and college. I have used a pro preferred and the pudge. Both are excellent gloves with the edge going to the Pudge. I like the leather on the A2000 better. now that I have been coaching the past 5 years I was in need of a new glove. I do a lot of catching clinics and I still enjoy catching bull pens when our catchers need a breather. I have used an All-Star on the mens fastpitch circuit and loved it. There is nothing comparable. So I made the jump to the smaller 33.5" for baseball. I have had this 33.5" all-star for about a year now and the glove has held up extremely good. I dont use liquid oil on my gloves, only mink saddle oil and in very small amounts. I highly suggest switching to mink oil if you use liquids. I love the leather on the All-Star. I feel that its a lot tougher and has a higher moisture content than the pro preferred that tends to be much dryer and sucks up any conditioner. The leather is much lighter than Wilson A2000's.
Cons: the laces do stretch. i prefer a very tight glove with very little give in the pocket. This isnt a huge deal. The guy who rebuilds my gloves used his own laces and they are very stiff and extremely durable. i also dont like the pointer finger holster on the outside of the glove. The Velcro is also cheesy. These have nothing to do with performance.
Pros: Super soft leather, finger holds are perfect, super stiff out of the box but broke in within 4 days which was so surprising. Did nothing to break it in but use it, no oil, no steaming just caught with it.
Cons: None
Pros: Well made
Cons: None
Pros: My son loves the pop of the glove. Yes, it does need to be broken in but he was able to play catch right out of the box. It will require some time before it will be game ready .
Cons: Had a hard time determining what size was right for 13u player.
Pros: This glove lasts an extremely long time I was in 5th grade when I got it and now I’m in 9th grade. It is still in great condition to the point where it will be used until towards the end of my high school career.
Cons: Nothing
