Description

Akadema is the most exciting baseball and softball company in the world. Akadema's ownership attributes an increasing market share to their innovative quality professional product line in contrast to mass-produced products that have little to do with quality, feel, or design that raise the level of play. Akadema's products are manufactured for professional players, but are available for semi pro, college, high school and serious youth players. Akadema's latest glove series is the Akadema Precision Series. The Precision Series uses Precision Kip Leather that is 20% lighter and tighter grained than steerhide. The hides are harvested in Europe and tanned in Japan. Ultimately, the Precision Series design provides the player with a more pliable glove. This allows for easier break-in. The Precision Kip Leather also provides more tensile strength than competing glove lines. This results in a stronger, more durable glove. Akadema: Bring Your "A" Game! Free Shipping!

Pros: This glove is extremely light, has a great pocket and is very easy to break in. It was my first kip leather glove and I am very impressed. I use it for middle infield of a softball team but would be great for a baseball outfielder.

Cons: May become a bit flimly sooner than other gloves due to the thinner, lighter-weight kip leather.

Pros: i wrote a review when i got the glove, since using it , i was compelled to write another. 20 years of baseball& softball plus, every kind of glove, & all top of the line models, the akadema arz136 is by a long shot, the best i've ever used. it took 2 day's to get this glove game ready. the fit, the quality, the attention to detail, is awesome. it's perfect for baseball, & softball. i just ordered a custom all red model for a backup if ever needed. same as the arz136. in my opinon, this is the best glove mfg to date. the leather is far superior to anything i've ever used. it also does'nt retain moisture in humid weather like other leathers do. if your looking for a fantastic product, this is it.

Cons: none at all

Pros: Best glove I've ever owned, very easy to break in, great pocket. More of a baseball outfielder's glove, but I play a lot of third base in softball and think it works very well. I have played with this glove for a season and a half, minimum 6 games per week and has lasted, hopefully will last a few more seasons.

Cons: No padding what so ever, most money I have ever spent on a glove.

Pros: I have used everything from pro preferred to A2000 and this is one of the best outfield gloves on the market. I was absolutely gutted when i got it how i couldn't even fit my fingers in the glove but after some patience and mashing it has shaped beautifully and i love it!

Cons: Very small when you first get it.

Pros: 35 years of competitive ball playing as well as 10+ yrs coaching all levels- high school. I've had and seen most all gloves , including A2000, A2K, Rawlings Pro models etc. Wanted a quality glove for a new tournament team that started up In Florida half century softball league. Took a chance on this glove since it was made from Kip leather and I liked other brands made from the same. I can't express my satisfaction. For literally less than HALF the price of the big names it is every bit as good and quite possibly better. I am 51 years old and I want a glove that is extremely stiff out of the wrapper. This Akadema nailed it. I like to break a glove in slowly, the tried and true way, so it forms to your hand and style of play. It compares to the A2K but feels better and costs way less. If you are looking for a top quality glove that you can be confident with and proud of , pull the trigger and buy this before they decide to raise their prices .

Cons: Zip

Pros: I don't think I could be any happier with this glove. I like to break my glove in naturally (just catch and throw without any treatments)so it takes a little longer than most, but this one works out excellently. Once it gets to a game ready condition, putting this glove on just feels right. Didn't take long to feel completely confident in it at both infield and outfield positions. Akadema has my business going forward.

Cons: At a month in, I have no complaints at all.

I have a Nokona AMG650BF which is great but after just a few years, getting floppy. What do you recommend for slowpitch outfield 13-13.5? My hand is large but not huge.
Dave
The Akadema Precision is a great glove. Easy to break in, pliable. If you want to stay with Nokona there is a model very similar to the AMG650BF you had...the WS1300C. My recommendation is use a conditioner that is more like a petroleum jelly than an oil. Certain leathers suck up the oil and become floppy.
Linda
Is this a good size glove for softball outfield?
ali
Yes. At 13 inches is makes a great glove for an outfielder in softball.
TJ
What sizes does this glove come in?
Brad
This specific model is only available in a 13 inch model.
Tyler
This glove is 13 inches so is this glove illegal for NCAA college baseball?
hmoney
NCAA glove rules are not strictly enforced, but a glove larger than 12.75 inches may be deemed illegal if they check.
Tyler
You guys said this would be a good softball glove. Since this is a baseball glove, is the pocket smaller than the Worth Liberty Advanced Series: LA130H?
aircuellar
Actually, both the ARZ136 and LA130H have similar size pockets that will more than accommodate a softball.
Tyler
Which glove will have the biggest pocket, this glove or the Rawlings REVO 750 series 12 3/4? I play slowpitch and I really like these 2 gloves! I know these are baseball gloves but I use a baseball glove now for slowpitch. I don't like a big glove.
sean
The Akadema Precision Series: ARZ136 is a 13" model that will have a slightly deeper pocket compared to the REVO 750 12.75" model.
Tyler
Do you have 12.5 size?

I play slow pitch softball, mostly in the infield. Is the pocket too deep in this glove?
Gabe
The depth of the pocket and H-Web design of the Akadema Precision Series (ARZ136) make it ideal for softball infielders.
Gary T.
I'm looking for a new glove for high school baseball. Would this be a good glove?
flo
The Akadema Precision Series (ARZ136) would be more typical for slow pitch softball play. The 13 inch size would be larger than what we typically see a high school player using.
Patrick
Is this a softball mitt or baseball mitt?
Josh
The Akadema Precision Series: ARZ136 was designed for baseball and slow pitch softball.
Logan
How much does this glove weigh?
David vb
Unfortunately we do not currently have the Akadema Precision Series Outfield Baseball Glove: ARZ136 in our showroom to weigh.

Is there any reason you cannot use this glove for baseball hardball as an outfielders glove?
Baseball outfielder
There is no reason that this Akadema Precision Series Outfield Baseball Glove (ARZ136) cannot be used for baseball in the outfield. At 13" and with an adult fitting, it will be a great outfielders mitt.
