Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Zett Pro Status Series: ZCMB Catcher's Mitt? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Hi. Is it made in japan? Tom
Yes, the Zett Pro Status Series is made in Japan.
Mark
does the webbing hold up because it looks like it will snap pretty quickley? tm
This mitt is made using very high-strength lacing and so far, we haven't had any issues. The webbing is a design that has been known to work well.
John
What kind of protection does it have for the thumbe and index finger when receiving a pitch? RacingYankee
This glove has a lot of padding for the thumb and index finger. This is going to be one of the catcher"s mitts that has a lot of padding in it. You will be very happy with this glove and the padding that it does have.
Brett
have 16 year old catcher. Does the glove break in easily? has medium sized hands Mike
This glove will fit your son. This glove will take about to week to break in. After a week, this glove will be ready for game use. This glove will hold up for a very long time.
Brett
is it a good glove bull
Yes, this is a very good glove. This is going to be one of the best gloves under $300.00. This glove has great padding and uses one of the top of the line leathers on the market, Japanese tanned leather.
Brett
How stiff is this glove in comparison to an A2000 or an All Star catcher's mitt? Does the lacing on this glove come tight because it looks loose in the photo? The Janitor
The Zetts come very stiff at first but break in well. They hold their shape very well over time. The lacing may look loose but it is hight quality lacing.
Mark
do i need to tighten the laces by the pocket after i purchase the glove? will a pitcher throwing mid-90s break the laces if i dont? levikey
Day one you won't need to tighten the laces, but you may want to every several weeks during the season. Be sure not to over tighten them though as this could make the lacing more susceptible to breaking. This is a high quality mitt that holds up well to 90+ mph pitching.
Brett
is it hard? cause i have zett glove which made from japan and it's rock hard. susasong
The Zett gloves we carry are the same ones that are manufactured and sold in Japan. This is a high quality, stiff mitt that will require a fairly extensive break-in period.
Brett
Hi, do you still have this stock? jeffa
Yes, but we only have it available in a right hand thrower.
Kara
Between a Rawlings Primo (which is obviously very heavy) and a Wilson A2000, on the lighter side of the spectrum, how heavy is this catcher's glove? beisbol97
The Zett Pro Status gloves are made with a high quality, full-grain leather. They won't be as heavy as the Primos, but not quite as light as the A2000. I would place them in between the two in terms of weight, but a little closer to the A2000 gloves.
Tyler
I own a Zett Gran Status glove, it has very hard leather and is still not broken in. Does the Pro Status have softer leather and will it break in easier? kburder
The Zett Pro Status Series: ZCMB Catcher's Mitt features Japanese Tanned Leather which is softer, but will still require work to break in.
