The Wilson A450 Series: A0450HBCM is a Youth Catcher's Mitt that would be a great fit for players around 11 or 12 years old. However, it would also be a good option for 13 or 14 year old players who may be a little smaller than average, or a 10 year old who may be larger than average.

Would this glove be good for an 8 yr old. She needs a glove that she can clamp with ease. The reg a2000 are a beast to break in and she lacks the finger strength to keep the ball clamped down. This glove sounds promising wanting your opinion. whitedwarf24

The Wilson A450 Series: A0450HBCM is a 32.5" Youth Catcher's Mitt. At 32.5", it is bigger in size than average for an 8 year old player. However, since it's a Youth model, it will fit a younger player's hand very well. Youth A450 catcher's mitts, like this one, will be much softer and a lot easier to close than an A2000 mitt.

At 14, the Wilson A450 Series(A0450HBCM Youth Catcher's Mitt) is probably going to be too small, based on the fact this is designated as a "youth" glove. You will probably want to go with an adult size model. Typically, most catchers will use a 32"-34" size. Any of those sizes would be well suited for him. The size you choose is more dependent on player preference.
