Description

Since its introduction in 1957, the original Wilson A2000 Series has set the standard for premium quality ball gloves. Developed together with engineers, craftsmen and Major League players such as Evan Longoria, Greg Maddux and Ivan Rodriguez, the A2000 Series is the ultimate defensive tool. Used on MLB fields since 1998, the A2000 SuperSkin models were developed to be as lightweight as possible, without sacrificing performance or durability. SuperSkin repels moisture and reduces the overall weight of the glove while still being 2x stronger than conventional leather. The SuperSkin models strategically place American Pro Stock leather at certain points to give it even more rugged durability. This durability is enhanced even further with Dual-Welting pre-curved finger design that helps the pocket keep its shape and stay stable. This 12.75 Inch model features an H-Web and is ideal for outfielders looking for a glove with the lightest possible play weight. Put millions of hours of passion for excellence in the palm of your hand with a Wilson A2000 SuperSkin glove! Wilson: The Official Glove of Major League Baseball. Free Shipping!

Besides size, what are the main differences between the 1799b and the 1799ss? Going to be playing 3b and LF in slowpitch....just wanted to know which might be a better choice. Thanks! Nate
The 1799SSB features Wilson's SuperSkin technology, the 1799B does not have the SuperSkin material. The SuperSkin material is lighter in weight than leather and is just as durable. That being said, the 1799SSB will be a little lighter in weight than the 1799B. Other than that (and the size) they'll be similar.

would this mitt be good for a twelve year old outfielder? if not could u give me some suggestions Lshot
This glove might be a little big for someone in the outfield at that age. Most outfielders in college and high school use 12.00-12.50 inch gloves. I would recommend a glove that is about 12.00 inches. That should be a good size for a 12 year old in the outfield.
Brett
Im a high school outfielder. This is a baseball glove not a softball glove right? And i play all year round so how long will this glove last? Baseball
You are right the 1799ssb is an outfield baseball model. The SuperSkin a2000s will last a very long time, even with heavy use.

I am a 13 year old boy i am 5'5 125 and i play center field. I play every weekend; would this be a good glove for me? Does it have a fast brake in time? hd8
Yes the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: 1799SSB is a great outfield glove that will stand the test of time. It also has a relatively quick break in time.

My sons pitching coach says he needs a bigger glove. His glove now is a size 12. He is 13 and plays pitcher, 2nd and outfield. Would this glove be good for him? He is 5'6 and weighs about 135 and has big hands. al4
If your son is still playing some infield positions, anything bigger than a 12" would not be a very good fit for him. If you would like a bigger size, the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: 1799SSB is a great glove.
