Wilson has traditionally been known for making a few shorter length 1B mitts that come in at 12" and 12.25". However, this 1620 model gives you one that is lengthier at 12.5". If you want a larger A2000 to accompany you over to first base, then you should consider this glove.

Pros: Its high quality leather The price makes sense Break-In was stiff but got it to break in within a month Pocket wasn't bad just had to loosen the lace is a little bit overall super nice glove for how cheap it was

Cons: I didn't see anything bad about the glove. I was reading the other reviews and this glove is definitely not meant for a young kid 12 and younger, even a 14-year-old it's definitely meant for higher levels of baseball for adults from the other reviews people just didn't know what they were doing when you breaking glove. There's two hinges, one on the left and one on the right. Or you can do a one hinge on the glove. I went with a two-hinge and it's awesome deep pocket You break in the glove by folding down the glove where the hinges so right where it starts to l on both sides and you hit it with a mallet or an old bat until it hinges. How you like it and don't just hit it in one spot. Hit it in multiple spots but hold it down and hit it until it's to your liking and it only took me a month.

Cons: The glove break in service did not live up to what I thought it would be at all. I got the glove and it was still very stiff. For paying the extra 35 bucks to get it broke in it did not meet that standard

Pros: It’s cheap for high quality leather

Cons: The pocket won’t form. I’ve had this glove for 2+ years and tried to break it in and it’s still not game ready. Shallow pocket allows the ball to pop out. Seems to be poorly shaped. Overall it’s a bust.

Pros: Light and design is appealing

Cons: Shallow pocket, ball just pops out when a player is camped out underneath a baseball. This glove fails its users and causes errors where there should not be. The pocket needs to be deep so the ball can funnel to the web. This pocket forces the ball in the opposite direction.

Cons: No pocket ball doesn't stay in glove very well. Almost 100 games on the glove. Completely garbage. Gave up bought a new rtg heart of the hide. Like I should have last yr.

Pros: My son is just starting Pony League this fall. He is playing 1st and the good as well as the bad throws seems to be sucked in like a vacuum.

Cons: Yes. I read the reviews and is difficult to break-in. Without the quick fix professional glove breaker in person, we basically played catch, used neats foot oil and had balls thrown to him in a batting cage. Great glove, but need to put the effort in the break-in period.
