Now, players of all ages can have a professional quality glove designed to maximize their performance, just like the A2000 professional models do. The A2000 Showcase carries on the Wilson tradition started in 1957 that revolutionized the baseball glove. The technological improvements allowed the glove to act as a true extension of the players hand, making fielders more efficient allowing for a higher level of performance. A2000 Showcase series gloves also offer the new Dri-Lex technology. This Dri-Lex technology is an ultra-breathable wrist lining that transfers moisture away from the skin, keeping your hand cool and dry. A2000 Showcase series gloves also feature the patented Dual Welting system that offers a pre-curved finger design that helps maintain a stable and durable pocket. The Dual Welting technology is a patented design used exclusively by Wilson in the United States. All patterns are endlessly field tested by a select group of top amateur players. Pros: Quality leather and sized perfectly for a small hand

Cons: Verry Verry Stiff palm!!!!! Had to buy my 11 year old a different glove because after 4 months we were still unable to get the glove broken in to the level that he needs for infield play. Hopefully he will be able to use it some time down the road.

Pros: The A2000 sc1796 is an amazing glove that combines beautiful aesthetics with the quality of wilson leather. The glove is very good quality but persistent effort in breaking it in will, pay off with a strong, durable and perfectly shaped glove.

Cons: white laces get dirtier than other colors, i didnt take this into account.

I was an all state baseball player in high school and used a Wilson 2001 infielders glove. It seems that they do no longer make this glove. What glove is equivalent? Dick
I'm unaware of any 2001 infielders model made by Wilson.

If you want it to last 5 yrs, ten I definitely would not get the youth model. Also the size of the glove is determined by the position you play.

I am 16 a sophomore in highschool and play 2nd 3rd and short .. mainly second occasionally pitch. My hand is 8 in from start of palm to the end of my middle finger and my fingers are kind of skinny. I currently use a 11.25 revo but I am selling it.Do you think this will fit pretty well and be pretty good all around for my positions? bj
The SC1796 is a youth model and will be too small for a 16 year old. We suggest you look at the A2000 adult model in a 11.50".
