Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 12.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF92? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

(1) Is this glove easy to break in? (2) What age range is this glove recommended for? Evan
(1) This Wilson A2000 12.25" Baseball Glove (WTA20RB18PF92) will be decently stiff and require a break-in period. However, depending upon your break-in specifications, you may be able to break the glove in within a few weeks. (2) I would recommend this mitt for outfielders ranging from 11 to 15 years old.

Looks like super skin in the picture. Does this have a super skin exterior? casoftballdad
Yes, this Wilson A2000 12.25" Baseball Glove (WTA20RB18PF92) features a SuperSkin backing.
Ben
My coaches have me playing third, pitcher, and the outfield. Would this be a good glove for all those positions, considering 12.25" is used by a lot of third basemen and pitchers? BigTyneAntonio
The Wilson A2000 12.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF92 would be a great option for those three positions due to its size being very versatile.
Logan
Is this glove too big to use for pitching? davidbaseball_es
The 12.5" length on this Wilson A2000 12.25" Baseball Glove (WTA20RB18PF92) would render it too large for pitching use per most pitcher's preferences. However, if a player wanted to use it on the mound, they could certainly do so as it has a modified T-webbing that would protect a pitcher's throwing hand from tipping pitches to the batter.
Ben
I'm looking for a new glove for my 12 year old that plays travel ball. He's the starting centerfielder so looking for a outfielder's glove that's not the typical 12.75 size. I see that this one has the DP fit for smaller hands. My son is on the smaller size for a 12 yr old (he's only 4 ft, 6 inches). My question is if you think this glove will still be too big for him even with the DP fit. He currently uses the Wilson A1K DP fit in a 11.50, but has been saying its starting to get a little small. I'm either considering a A200 in a 11.75 or this A200 in 12.25. Any thoughts or suggestions? glenn
I would recommend a glove size around 12 inches for your player. I think the Wilson A2000 12.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF92 will work for your player as he will continue to grow.
Dan
Is this a youth outfielders mitt? Glen
The Wilson A2000 12.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF92 is an adult fitting model.
Cameron
My son will be 13. Plays outfield. Is 5"5' and growing. Would you recommend 12.25 or 12.50? Bill
You could go in either direction, it just really comes down to his personal preference as far as what he feels more comfortable using. The Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 12.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF92 would be our general recommendation though since it has a 12.25 inch pattern.
Cameron
Hi, I would like to know if this glove wold be good for my son turning 12 in September? Thank you. Tommy
The Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 12.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF92 would be a good fit for your son who is turning 12 in September.
Max
My son is 14, plays outfield and small for his age. The PF makes a ton of sense for him, but is 12.25'' too small going into HS? Ben
The Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 12.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF92 would be a bit small in length for the future years, but would work great for outfield for the next year. The 12.25'' will give him more control, but less reach.
Max
Is this the largest outfield glove with the Pedroia Fit? Ben
Yes, the Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 12.25" Baseball Glove (WTA20RB18PF92) will be the largest outfield model available with a Pedroia Fit.
Taylor
For this glove are you able to do two in the pinky hole? Sam Smith
Yes, this Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 12.25" Baseball Glove (WTA20RB18PF92) can be worn with both the pinky and ring finger in the pinky slot. If the pinky slot were too tight at the beginning, you would be able to loosen the pinky slot strap to allow more room for both fingers to fit.
Ben
My son is 14 plays OF/2nd base but is only 5' tall. He is currently using his 11.25" infield glove in the outfield and would like a true OF glove. Would this glove work or should we look at a bigger model? There doesn't seem to be a large selection of 12.50" gloves and 12.75" seems to big. Adam Canaff
The Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 12.25" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18PF92 would be a perfect fit for your player. The 12.25" size is great for the outfield and the Pedroia fit would provide a more controllable fit for your smaller player.
Tyler

This Wilson A2000 Pedroia Fit 12.25" Baseball Glove (WTA20RB18PF92) will weigh just over 600 grams.
