Description

The Wilson A1000 Series has been improved once again; this time with the focus being on softness. The Showcase Series is an A1000 glove specially made for the youth hand with narrower hand openings and narrower and shorter finger stalls. The A1000 Series uses Wilson's exclusive ECCO Leather inside and out, leaving you with a consistent break-in and feel. The ECCO Leather is one of the highest grade game-ready leathers available and is found only on the A1000 gloves. The A1000 Series gloves also offer the new Dri-Lex Technology which is an ultra-breathable wrist lining that transfers moisture away from the skin, keeping your hand cool and dry. A1000 Series gloves also feature the patented Dual-Welting system that offers a pre-curved finger design that helps maintain a stable and durable pocket. The Dual Welting technology is a patented design used exclusively by Wilson in the United States. The A1000 uses a Sorbothane Palm Pad which is a revolutionary material that diffuses shock away from the hand, giving your hand maximum protection. This 11.50 Inch pattern features a Single Post Web and is preferred by infielders. All patterns are endlessly field tested and constantly improved by hundreds of professional and top amateur players. Pros: Great glove for my average sized 9 year old. Soft leather, and very easy to break in. It is a high quality glove, and I am sure he will be able to use it for a several seasons. We also appreciated the fast shipping ... a great choice in gloves and supplier.

Big game Brody's Dad.

Pros: If there is a better youth top end glove out there I want to see it!!! My son is 7 and is real big and tall, probably about as big as most 8 year olds or slightly older. This glove is just perfect for him now and will last him at least until he is 10. I have already recommended it to one friend and will have others looking at it for there sons and daughters as well. Super sharp looks, top quality construction, and the perfect fit on Brody's hands for some growth. Money well spent!!!!

Cons: Season is over and we can only use it out in the yard!! LOL.

Hi, What is the weight of the glove, for a 10 year old pitcher. Scott
We do not have weights on our gloves, nor do we have any way to weigh them. But, this glove would be fine for a 10 year old.

there is an 11.5" wilson A1000 G4 at our local sporting goods store, but does not have showcase or SC noted anywhere on label or glove. is this the same model or an adult model? If it is the same, could it be appropriate for 8 y/o ? harvey
This is a youth model glove, meaning it will be much softer and easier to use for a younger player with a smaller hand. This should be suitable for an 8 year old. An 11 inch glove is usually more commone for an 8 year old, but this 11.5 inch model should be fine and give him plenty of room to grow in to.

what size glove is best for a 11yr. old 3rd baseman jr.

My son just turned 9. He is average size. He is a lefty. He pitches, plays SS, 3rd, 1st, and Outfield. I would like to purchase a glove that will last him through 12. I'd hate to buy a glove that is too big, but not one that will be too small before then. Which models should I consider? Thank you. Cal
This is going to be an excellend choice for this size and the positions he plays. The size will be fine for a a few years.
