Conventional Open Backing
Gap Welting - Warstic Folds Over A Portion Of The Palm Leather Near the Index And Middle Finger. Prevents Ripping In That Area And Deepens Pocket.
The Backing Of The Index Finger Reads The Motto: [It's Not The Weapon, It's The Warrior.]. The Catching Surface Of The Index Finger Reads: [Time To Hunt.].
A defensive movement has started at Warstic. No longer do they just specialize in the offensive aspects of baseball. This IK3 series shows Warstic's commitment to the defensive hunters of the baseball!
Glove Benefits
With Ian Kinsler as a co-owner, we knew that a glove had to be coming from Warstic. Ian earned 2 MLB Gold Gloves over a career that spanned 14 seasons. And as Warstic is setting its sights on creating top-quality pieces of leather for defenders, they will certainly have great leadership with Ian driving the operations!
When judging the quality of a glove, it always starts with considering the leather that is used to construct it. Warstic takes no shortcuts when it comes to their IK3 Series of gloves. They use Japanese Kip Leather when building this glove. This type of leather is widely renowned within the baseball glove community as one of the best materials that can be used to build a glove. Since the Kip leather comes from a younger animal, the hide has experienced less wear-and-tear up to the point when the glove is made. The result is a great-looking material with fewer blemishes to it. And it is relatively soft in its feel (but most likely the glove will still require break-in). As well, many players find Kip Leather gloves to be lightweight in their feel!
With this incredible material, Warstic builds an excellent outfield baseball glove. The 12.75-inch length is going to snatch every fly ball that floats its way into the outfield. As well, a cool feature they have added to the glove is the "gap welting" that exists between the index and middle fingers of the glove. Warstic left an extension of palm leather in that location and folded it over through the "gap" between those 2 fingers and onto the glove's backing. This feature helps prevent leather rips on that location of the glove and also helps the pocket of the glove feel deeper!

Okay glove, not worth the price
Mitchell F.
Player
Pros: The glove has some great quality laces and a solid palm, which I prefer. The fingers come pretty well spaced from the jump which just takes away some steps from the break-in process. The glove looks great out of the box and has a really nice fit.
Break in was quick, but required leather conditioner.
Cons: The leather quality is pretty poor for the price. It's very similar to a Mizuno mid-range model in terms of leather quality (Mizunos are half the price). The leather even felt dry so I decided to condition it out of the box. I've never had to do that for a glove before.
The overall quality of this glove is NOT worth the price. It's a 200 dollar glove selling itself on looks.
It's a shame because I LOVE Warstic bats and wanted to dive all in on the brand. I'm sticking with my A2000 and A2K.

Warstic is an independent, Texas-based company committed to building a unique brand of wood bats and gloves for serious players of any age. The company was started by Ben Jenkins, a ballplayer himself. After playing four years of Division 1 college baseball, and a brief stint in the minor leagues, Ben started Warstic Bat Co. in 2011. The goal was to create not only an extremely high-quality wood bat but also a work of art.
Focusing on Craftsmanship, Design, and Performance, Warstic bats are hand forged for battle. Warstic believes that the only wood is good wood, and that baseball is better when the wood is at the heart of the game. With bats made from Northern White Ash with straight grains, Rock Hard Sugar Maple, and Dense Yellow Birch, Warstic bats are designed for high performance and durability. Plus, every Warstic bat is made in the U.S.A.
Many wood bat companies talk extensively about their magical "select" wood, unique processes, and turning techniques. At Warstic, there is the belief that it is not that complicated. The #1 most important thing to making a great wood bat, is sourcing, selecting, and paying for the absolute highest quality wood available. Then, all it takes is careful attention to detail, a great finish, and unique look to give players a truly remarkable wood bat.
Yes, JustGloves.com will price match a competitor's listed price!
To do so, we verify some information. If you see an item listed at a lower price elsewhere, this is all we require:
We must verify that the website you want to price match is legitimate and an authorized dealer of the products they sell.
We must confirm that the competitor has the same size and product in stock and ready to ship. If the same size and product is out of stock on the competitor's website, we are unable to match their price.
We must confirm if the competitor charges sales tax and/or shipping fees since these are added to the final price of the product.
Lastly, our Glove Experts must check on the cost we pay to stock the item from the manufacturer. The price match must cover that manufacturer cost for the item.
We have the final decision for matching an online price.
Did you purchase a product from us, but noticed that it is now at a lower price? Please let us know, and we will honor our lowest price within the past 30 days by issuing a refund for the price difference or adjusting the price for you over the phone.

JustGloves Trusted Glove Prep Service

We Prep - You Break In - Then Break Out
You spoke and we listened. Introducing JustGloves Trusted Glove Prep! Now, you can choose for us to soften your new glove for a quicker break-in process. We will not be fully breaking in the glove, but instead using a series of mindful actions specifically geared to your exact glove. As a result, the leather will arrive more supple and allow for a much easier break-in process upon arrival.
The Process
Condition
Our team of glove experts begin the prepping process by applying a thin layer of specialized glove conditioner to the outside of your glove. The conditioner activates your glove’s leather by opening the pores. It also serves to protect the integrity of the leather throughout the steaming process.
Steam
With care, your glove is then placed into a manufacturer-approved steaming chamber and monitored closely. Through the combination of heat, steam, and conditioner, the leather will begin to loosen within a few minutes. Following the steaming process, we re-apply a thin layer of glove conditioner to your glove. Beyond additional protection, this second coating of conditioner allows our glove experts to work with a softer, more malleable leather.
Mallet
The final step in our glove prepping process takes advantage of the wooden mallet. With a couple mindful swings of the mallet, our glove experts are able to minimize your glove’s critical sticking points to allow for a much swifter break-in period on your end.

Softens Leather for a Better Feel
DIRECTIONS:
(1) - First remove any existing dirt by wiping the glove with a clean, dry cloth. (2) - When clean, rub a small amount of conditioner into the leather with hands or clean cloth. (3) - Work it into the web, palm, laces, inside of the glove, & any other area that has become dry or is starting to crack. (4) - When finished, place your glove in a warm, dry area (70 - 90 F) & allow the leather to absorb the conditioner for 24 hrs. (5) - Re-treat your glove when you notice the leather is starting to dry out. Prior to the off-season, apply a light coat of conditioner to keep the leather from becoming brittle.
Note: Excessive glove conditioner/oil can damage or shorten the life of a new glove. Use it sparingly.
