Cons: If someone wants to become serious they will need an upgrade.

Pros: Right out of the box this glove feels great and is quality made. Looked at many other higher priced gloves but found this Rawlings glove to feel better than the more expensive custom gloves carried at the local sporting goods stores. Thanks Just Gloves for fast shipping and a great deal.
Cons: None found, would buy again.

Pros: had the glove a week and got many many compliments from teammates. One of my friends that has a Rawlings Primo asked if I payed 150.00 for it after he tried it on. I was like nope 89.00.. I really feels like a 300.00 glove. The ball enters and does not leave. The transition of the ball out of the glove to make a throw is effortless. The pocket broke in perfectly.
Cons: none. I may even get my name stiched in this one, its a KEEPER !!!! GO METS !!!!

Pros: love this glove just got it 3 days ago. It has a great feel to it broke it in so easily only took like 1 day. Formed to my hand great.
Cons: makes a loud pop when you catch it in the palm, but who cares

Pros: I tried on several glove in stores and they sat down on JBG.com to make my order. And I cant be any happier with the quality, comfort and most importantly performance. I was able to use this glove in the field the next day after purchase with one day break in. I am sure in the coming weeks it will get even better. As stated I tried several infield gloves in this price range and this is the top choice for me. This is my 7th mitt to my collection. I gave it 4 out of 5 due only to price as there are better quality leather gloves deserving of the full 5 stars.
Cons: Not sure if this is a con yet, but the trapeze web design on an infield glove has me a bit questionable as the top does not offer the cross bar support of other web designs. I leave my trust in the makers of Rawlings that they know what they are doing.

Pros: Game ready out of the box/off the shelf. 12" works good for infield (3rd Base) Holds its shape fairly well. Good leather even with the pre oiled
Cons: palm has almost no padding but thats not a serious problem

Pros: I ordered this glove and the Rawlings Player Preferred which is only $50. I only bought a glove to play catch with my kids. The Player Preferred fit great, but felt a little cheap compared to this glove. The leather is amazingly nice on this Gold Glove. On less expensive gloves, the interior palm is usually not leather and the interior fingers are synthetic padded foam. This glove has an all leather interior and feels great when catching. I have really big hands (8" from my wrist to the top of my middle finger) and I thought a 12" would be too small, but it's not. The glove also works well if you like to put your pinky and ring finger in the pinky finger well and move your middle and index finger over one. The Player Preferred did not work well for that.
Cons: I wish there was a little more adjustment in the wrist (it's a little loose). Although it looks like there are a few holes where you can re-lace the wrist strap, it can't be done. I'm used to it now though, so I don't really notice it.

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
