Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Nokona X2 Elite Series: X2-1250FB? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Which is better glove? This one or Walnut HH?? Looking for deeper pocket to hold ball and nicer feel for young player. Sean
The Nokona X2 Elite Series: X2-1250FB and Nokona Walnut Series: WB1250H First Base Mitt both have a similar structural design, so the pocket design will be of comparable depth. The Nokona X2 Elite Series: X2-1250FB is a game ready model, while the Walnut will have a stiff, robust feel. The Walnut will hold its shape better over time due to the stiffer leather, but the X2 Elite does come with the benefit of a Two-Year Warranty from Nokona, should you run into any durability issues.
Katie
Is this a softball glove? Dan
The Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1250FB) would be a baseball first base mitt.
Patrick
Is this (X2-1250FB) mitt 100% Stampede leather, or a combo of Stampede on the palm and web with Kangaroo on the back of the hand? Nokona Fan
The Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1250FB) is made from a combination of the Stampede and Kangaroo leathers. Nokona uses the Kangaroo as the back of the shell which helps cut excess weight, much like the Buckaroo Series.
Mac
Why isn't this glove offered for the left hand thrower? Kenny
The Left Hand Throw model of the Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1250FB) has been discontinued.
Chinyere
Could this glove last for 4 years of high school ball or will it wear out because of the softer leather? Youkilledkenny
The softer kangaroo and stampede leathers on this Nokona X2 Elite Series (X2-1250FB) will make the glove easier to break-in, but the leather should not become so soft that the glove will deteriorate quickly. If cared for properly, there is a good chance that the X2-1250FB could last for 4 high school seasons. Proper care often includes controlled storing, oiling only when leather begins to crack and promoting pocket formation (putting a ball in pocket when not being used).
