Description

Nokona built its reputation on its legendary Walnut Leather and the Walnut Classic Series. Entering into a new era of Nokona gloves, the Nocona, Texas-based company is switching things up with the introduction of its new Walnut HHH Leather. Walnut HHH is a beefed up version of the Walnut Classic Leather for sturdier performance that some players prefer. The Triple H indicates a leather that is between 5.2 and 6 ounces, making these new Walnut gloves some of the stiffest that Nokona manufactures. Walnut HHH maintains the character, look, and feel of Nokona's classic Walnut, but with a stiffer feel. Once a Walnut HHH glove is broken-in, players are left with a glove that is soft and supple, yet remains sturdy - a true, classic Nokona. Nokona has built a reputation for providing the highest quality gloves made with top grade leathers, that are made right here in the U.S.A. For over 75 years, Nokona has been making their product in Nocona, Texas where the people have dedicated their lives to providing the highest quality ball glove for players that demand excellence. This is their legacy. Nokona: America's Pastime. American Made. Free Shipping!

Pros: Excellent glove for outfield. I'm using it in an adult rec baseball league. I needed to replace a Rawlings that I'd had for awhile. After looking around, it became clear that the Nokona was the best choice in terms of quality, workmanship, and price. Being made in America was also a factor, but it just came down to the glove. Wears well; good leather that will show that it's been used, but doesn't discolor as drastically as others would have it, and breaks in very well if you're patient.

Cons: NONE.

Pros: Looks good when you first get the glove. Very stiff and sturdy with an excellent finish and smells great. Fits well and feels nice inside

Cons: Glove finish broke down after 1 week of just playing "couch catch" with it to break it in. Severely visible spots of wear where the ball hit the palm, as well as several other areas. Leather doesnt seem like it will look good through any real "use". Will be picking up a Bloodline instead..

Pros: Stiff HHH Walnut leather looks great, feels great and smells great! High quality laces and craftsmanship make this glove a winner. Looks fantastic too! Laces are wound really tight so you wont have to worry about tightening the laces after a short time like so many other manufacturers. The best purchase for the money IMO.

Cons: The only con is also its biggest Pro... the stiffness. I love the stiffness, but if someone were looking for a glove that is gameday ready right out of the box, this isnt it... it will take quite a bit of breaking in before its game ready. But as I said, to me.. thats a pro, not a con.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Nokona Walnut Series: WB1275H? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Will this nokona run as wide as the nokona pro line 12.75 series? it looks like the same style. chance
Yes. The 12.75" Walnut Series glove will measure the same as the 12.75" Pro Line glove.
Tyler
I have a 14 year old freshman in high school. He wants an outfield glove. He has the bloodline 11.50" as he plays second and short. He saw this and said its way too big, what size are most outfielders using? erictx
Based on his age, we would recommend a glove that is 12.50" to 12.75". For more information on sizing, please visit our Glove Coach at http://www.ballglovewarehouse.com/glove-coach/

I read elsewhere that Nokona had an issue with the Walnut Series where the dye/finish didn't penetrate fully into the leather and left the glove discolored and leather breaking down early. Do you know if your current stock of these gloves is affected by that bad batch? aaron
To my knowledge, I have not been alerted to any issues with the Nokona Walnut Series: WB1275H. The colors that you find on our website are the colors that your glove would look like. It would be a tan, brown, leather. The lacing will be a lighter tan color.
Brandon
How does the triple H leather compare in stiffness to the bloodline series? Which one is stiffer and is there a big difference? Casey
The Bloodline leather is Nokona's top of the line leather and will be stiffer and tougher to break-in. The Walnut Series is still very durable, but will be noticeably easier to break-in.
Tyler
Is this glove for softball or for baseball? Will it work for both? Stephen
The Nokona Walnut Series: WB1275H is intended for baseball and designed for outfielders at 12.75". The pocket will be slightly small for a softball. The Nokona Buckaroo Series: BS1300C (AMG650KCW) is a 13" glove designed with a pocket that can be used in baseball or softball.
Katie
is there any possibility that i could get this same glove in a 12 inch? Cannot find it in that size and this glove looks Amazing. Smitty
The 12.00" model that is similar to the Nokona Walnut Series: WB1275H is the WB1200C. But the 1200C has a Basket Web, not an H-Web. These gloves are very high in quality and should last quite a while, with good care.
Mac
Is this glove available for a left handed thrower? Mike
The Nokona Walnut Series: WB1275H is only available in a right handed thrower. We are currently out of stock in a left handed throw.
Brandon
I have a RMG 400 that I want to replace. What is a suitable product for a left hand thrower playing in men's softball playing both infield and outfield? Kgb
The Nokona Walnut Series (WB1275H) has been discontinued and no longer available. We recommend the Nokona Walnut Softball Series (WS1250C).
