(1) This Nokona Generation 12.25" Fastpitch Softball Glove (G-1225) features the "D" Ring wrist strap (i.e. hook and loop). (2) This G-1225 will differ from the UT-1225 as the leather quality featured on the UT-1225 will be slightly higher than what is featured on this G-1225.

Can it be used in slowpitch successfully? B
The Nokona Generation 12.25" Fastpitch Softball Glove: G-1225 could be used in slowpitch with no issues. Only thing that could come into play is the wrist opening. It does feature a hook and loop wrist strap to help the glove fit more comfortably on those with larger hands.

Which is better the generation leather or the classic walnut crunch leather? rocko
Both the Premium Generation Steerhide Leather used in the Nokona Generation 12.25" Fastpitch Softball Glove (G-1225) and Classic Walnut Crunch Leather are going to be very quality leathers. It is really going to come down to personal preference because they are very comparable in quality. The Generation Steerhide Leather is going to be a little bit easier to break in and a little bit softer than the Walnut Crunch Leather.

If you are an outfielder either size would work well and it comes down to personal preference, but I would highly recommend the Nokona Generation 12.25" Fastpitch Softball Glove (G-1225).

For the Nokona Generation 12.25" Fastpitch Softball Glove: G-1225, I would not recommend it for men's slow pitch. The wrist opening and finger stalls will feature smaller openings.
