There really is no "best" Nokona glove with a trapeze web. They have a wide variety of gloves with different leathers, colors, size, etc. It really depends on the preference of the player. The WB1275M is an excellent glove, but the BC1275M and PL1275M are also high-quality gloves Nokona offers in the same size and webbing.

Nokona gloves do run small, so both gloves will feel the same as far as size. Usually, they are about 1 1/4 inch smaller than the size listed.

This may be a little too big for an infield glove. Most infielders do not use a glove bigger than 11.75.

I have the Nokona 13.5 walnut softball glove and feel the glove itself is too big. I play pretty much all positions in slow pitch and may be transitioning back into baseball. Will the pocket on this glove be able to handle the 12" softball I currently play with? jets
The pocket on the Nokona Classic Walnut Series is fairly deep, so it should be fine for softball. However, if you are looking for a glove specifically for softball we recommend the Nokona Walnut Softball Series: WS1250C.

Well, a 12.75" glove like the Nokona Classic Walnut Series: WB1275M is a glove best suited for outfielders of High School age or older. If you don't mind holding on to the glove until your grandson gets to High School (and assuming he'll be an outfielder), the WB1275M would be a great choice. If you want a glove to pass on sooner, then a glove around 12" in size would be recommended.

The Nokona Classic Walnut Series (WB1275M) is ideal for playing outfield. However, the 12.75" design will be too large for pitching. Most pitchers us between an 11.5" and a 12".

The Nokona Classic Walnut Series (WB-1275M) has a slightly higher leather quality than the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250TT) but would also be a bit tougher to break in. Both are nice options for what you are looking for.

Breaking in the Nokona Classic Walnut Series (WB-1275M) by pounding it, playing with it and oiling it to soften the leather is the best way to go about it to ensure that you do not damage the glove. How stiff will the leather stay? I got the Nokona Buffalo Combo Series about 2 months ago and the leather is already flimsy. I would prefer my glove to stay stiff for a while. Seth

You will want to avoid steaming the glove or exposing it to extreme heat or moisture.
