The Nokona Walnut Series will have stiff leather. It should not become floppy after multiple uses and will retain it's fare shape. It will feel slightly heavier than the Akadema Patriot Series. Both are high quality gloves. You really can't' go wrong with either glove.

I would recommend an 11.50"-11.75" glove for a 9 year old outfielder. The Nokona Walnut Series would be a great choice.

OR a Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series: GCP53S? Son plays 14U, SS, 3rd, and pitcher. Hard player but complains about hard hit balls, likes a glove with a little padding and not too stiff. Thoughts on the two? Tony
Both gloves would be a great option for your son. The Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series would have softer leather and an Ultra soft Pro Palm Liner, whereas the Nokona Walnut Series would hold its shape longer over time.

Yes. There are no rules or regulations that say the Nokona Walnut Series: WB1175H cannot be used in fastpitch softball.

A 11.75" glove like the Nokona Walnut Series: WB1175H is going to be too small for slow pitch softball in my opinion. 12.5" to 13" gloves are better suited for, and much more common in slow pitch softball.

I was interested on an opinion of the Nokona Walnut Series WB1175H glove versus Rawlings Heart of the hide Dual Core Series PRO1175DCC. I would prefer a glove that will hold its shape long term. I currently own a 12 inch Nokona Buck skin glove for softball and I am looking to replace an old Wilson A2000 infield glove for playing baseball with my son. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I really like the Nokona Walnut Series. Just keep in mind that the Nokona's tend to run a bit small. Since you are using a 12" infield glove already I wouldn't go down to the 11.75 model. I would suggest the Nokona Classic Walnut Series: WB1200C (AMG1200WCW).

The Nokona Walnut Series: WB1175H would be a great choice. It will be a 11.75" infield model that will require a longer period of break-in. It will have a stiffer feel and heavier play weight. This glove will prove to last many seasons.

Glove oil and conditioner is used to moisten the leather and keep it from drying out and cracking. Glove conditioner and oil will both make the life of the Nokona Walnut Series: WB1175H longer, but neither will effect its sturdiness.

What is the difference between the Walnut AMG-1175W-H and the Walnut WB-1175H. The design seems very similar, but the color appears different as well as the Nokona tag on the outside of the glove. Nash
If you're comparing this Nokona Walnut Series: (WB1175H) to the (AMG-1175W-H) that is listed on Nokona's website, the only differences will be those cosmetic characteristics you mentioned. Concerning the color of the gloves, I believe it's the lighting that was used when each picture was taken that accounts for the difference in tone. Nokona has changed up the patches a bit that it uses on its gloves, but both of these gloves will be identical in feel and durability. Both are constructed from Nokona's Walnut HHH leather, feature an 11.75" pattern, and have the H-Web.

The Nokona Walnut Series (WB1175H) features a Nokona's signature leather, the Walnut Crunch. Walnut crunch leather is very sturdy and pliable. Deer tanned cowhide leather, typically seen in Rawlings Heart of the Hide series, is tanned softer which allows for an easier break in time. It also provides comfort an durability as well. Both are very comparable.

I am a 62 year old former high school ball player, in good shape with 13 and 14 year old sons who are also players. My 55 year old A2000 was the best glove I ever had and is falling to pieces, and it fit like an extension of my hand. I am sure other guys would have similar stories about a glove that I would have married were it a woman. What glove would you recommend to replace it for general catching with my boys, and to show off a little bit in the infield primarily, with some outfield work? The Nokona Walnut Series (WB1175H) would be a good replacement for your old A2000. The Nakona should hold up just like the A2000.

Nokona Classic Walnut Series (WB1200C), since the WB1175H is a 11.75" pattern and the WB1200C is a 12". It is tough to say how significant the differences in sizes will be, since all gloves will fit players slightly differently due to differences in hand size.
