Pros: I've wanted a Nokona since a teammate of mine had one in high school. I fell in love with them then and now that I have one I feel the same. The quality leather is unmatched compared to any other glove that I've ever had. The break in took a bit, but it was worth it because I enjoyed having it on my hand and getting it just right. Props to the Nokona people for a job well done.

Cons: None.

Pros: Great leather. Some say they run small but after it broke in it seemed bigger. Brake-in took a while but it should because of the leather quality.

Pros: If broken in right, this glove gets better the more it is used. Amazing feel and comfort. It may feel a bit heavy at first but after a couple of games, that goes away. Can play any position except catcher with this glove. The feel of the leather really what seperates this glove from others.

Cons: NONE!

Pros: Great glove. I just got it and recently broke it in. It broke in easily and was game ready in less than a month. I have seen no signs of it getting floppy as some people complained. Overall, very pleased with the quality and feel of the glove.

Pros: Super durable glove, that holds its shape like you'd expected from a "lifer" glove.

Cons: My only beef with the glove is that it's not a full open back design which I prefer.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Nokona Bloodline Series: BL1175H (AMG1175BLH)? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Would this glove be big enough to play third base with a 12 inch softball nat
If you're high school age or older, an 11.75 to 12.5 inch would be the most common size.
Brett
do you carry this glove in a 12 1/2 inch? nat
As of 3/15/2011, the Nokona Bloodline Series is not produced in a 12.5 inch model.
Brett
i play softball, would this glove be good for a utility glove for infield and a little outfield ??? DTF
It depends on how old the player is. At 11.75 inches, it may be a little small for a someone of high school age or older, but would be a good utility glove for a younger softball player.
Sean
can they make this exact same style glove in 12in or 12.25? birm16
These are going to be the Bloodline glove that we carry in that size. 12.00-BL1200C, 12.25-We do not have.
Brett
"Brett" I am just blown away... people are asking for glove sizes and you are reccommending illegal gove sizes. Tha MAJOR LEAGUE MAXIMUM IS 12"?? What happens when I ask the up to check the kids glove size Brett?? NoBama
Hi There. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I was unable to locate the glove or gloves where we have the wrong answer/information posted. If you know the exact glove model(s) on our website in which we have the wrong answer posted, please let us know by responding through this Question and Answer forum, emailing us at support@justballgloves.com or calling us at 1-866-321-4568. We would be more than happy to remove any information that is not correct. I know for the Majors Division in Little League, they say 12 inches is the maximum glove size. I have also seen first-hand, kids using 12.25 and 12.5 inch gloves. And I have also heard of umpires checking and in turn allowing gloves that are a little bigger than 12 inches. Also, most of the time we give our customers general recommendations based on the age of the player as not all leagues and organizations conform to the same set of rules. Thank you, and we look forward to hearing back from you.
Tyler
Good glove for 6' 14 year old short stop? Baseball not Softball. Also a pitcher. Art
The Bloodline would be a very good option for a pitcher and a shortstop, it has a very good leather quality and will last a long time
Sean
I have the BL1175H (AMG1175BLH) and would like the exact model but in 11.5 size and with the old school emblems - the indian and full name on wrist. Has Nakona gone to the new emblems for all their gloves? Bryan
All of Nokona's new gloves will have updated logos and I do not believe they will have any new gloves with the old logos and emblems.
TJ
Does this glove have a deeper pocket than a middle infielder's glove? Good for third? John
The pocket could be broken in to suit a 3rd basemen fairly easy.
Linda
Does this glove have a deep enough pocket for men's softball or is the 12" a better choice? Is the leather on the Bloodline black just as good as the original? Thanks. Martin
This glove can be used for Baseball or Softball. A 12" glove may be a better choice if you want a glove with a deeper pocket. The Bloodline will be the same on the black series. The color of the glove will be the only difference.
Kris
I don't know anything about gloves but I want to buy my nephew a baseball glove. He plays first base and pitches. He's 11 years old, 103 pounds, 5'2" tall. Which glove do you recommend? How do I get it personalized with his name? Leemer
There are a few factors that go in to selecting the right size glove for your player including; age, position and mostly... personal preference. I recommend giving our Glove Coach a try: http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/ . With gloves, you get what you pay for. The higher the price, the higher the quality, the higher the quality, the more durable the glove will be. Unfortunately, we do not have the capabilities to personalize gloves.
Tyler
Is the texture of this model the same as the Black Bloodline glove? Does the leather feel the same? Frank
The texture and feel of the leather is the same on the Nokona Bloodline Series and the Nokona Black Bloodline Series.
Kara
My son is twelve years old a needs a new glove. What size is best for him and what type of glove would you recommend? Jack
The average size glove for a 12 year old utility player is 12". Price is the best indicator of a glove's quality. If durability is a key criteria, you will need to look at higher priced gloves. The higher the price = higher quality leather, and the higher the quality of the leather, the longer the break-in time and the more durable the glove will be. If quick break-in time is key, then I would recommend looking at a glove lower in price ($100 or less), as it will be made with a softer leather.
Tyler
I hear that the Bloodline Series is one of the toughest to break in of any glove on the market. Is there some truth to this statement? Ethan
Yes, the Nokona Bloodline Series is one of the most stiffest gloves to break in. However, because of the high quality of leather used, it will be very durable once it is broken-in.
Kara
Will this Nokona leather get floppy afer long periods of play? is this Nokona's best leather they make? chance
The Nokona Bloodline Series: BL1175H is the best glove Nokona makes. It is made of top of the line leather. It will be very stiff and will not lose it's shape.
