Description

Capitalizing on 100 years of glove making experience and innovation, Mizuno has developed the worlds best ball glove: the Mizuno Pro Series, with cutting edge 4D Technology. Mizuno extensively researched the dynamics of catching, using data from the best players in the game, and created position-specific ball gloves, delivering the ultimate in performance for each position. The 4D Technology is position specific reinforcements that allow greater grip strength and transfer of energy from your hand to the ball. The pressure points were determined by position, utilizing data from the best players in the world. These pressure points, coupled with the ultimate in feel and softness of Japanese tanned Deguchi leather, create the best feeling and most functional gloves possible. The Deguchi leather offers the softest feel and most durable leather available. Limited hide utilization ensures that only the best sections of each hide are used in production of each Mizuno Pro glove. Deguchi leather is much softer and more flexible than previous Mizuno Pro leathers yet has higher tensile strength enabling the best of both worlds. The Deguchi leather has a game ready feel with long lasting durability. Mizuno: Your passion is our obsession. Free Shipping.

Pros: It looks really cool and is unique from other gloves

Cons: Super stiff when you get it. Im sorry the pocket is awful. I have had this glove for three months now and the ball still bounces all over the pocket. I will be getting rid of it.

Have a question about the Mizuno Pro Series: GMP30 First Base Mitt? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

can i use this mitt for slow pitch softball? 40LOKO
Yes, you can use this glove for slowpitch. It will be on the smaller side though. Most first base mitts will be closer to 13 inches, for slowpitch.

i bought this glove last year. i was wondering if you still have the stock with old Mizuno logo. instead of logo, i had exact same glove with "M" mark instead. i am looking for left handed. If you have stock, i will purchase it no doubt! thanks Jerome
I went and checked, and all the remaining GMP30 gloves we have in stock are exactly as pictured. I didn't see any with the old Mizuno logo.

how does this compare size and quality wise to the gxf22? jason
At 13 inches, the GXF22 is a half inch larger. Both are high quality gloves, but the GMP30 is one of the highest quality mitts on the market. The Deguchi leather is top of the line and it is a couple notches above the GXF22 in terms of quality.

Is this glove only available with the fastback? BaseballProdigy
Yes, we only have this one in stock
Kris
Hey! I'm looking for a top quality mitt with good padding in the palm that will last a long time and not get floppy. Any suggestions? All Star
This glove would be a good fit. Mizuno gloves have been known to keep their shape over time and be very durable.
Kris
As far as leather quality goes which is best? This Glove, Rawlings Pro Preferred, or the Wilson A200 1613 BL? PRO
With gloves, the price is a very, very good indicator of the overall quality of the materials used. The higher the price, the higher the quality of the leather. The Rawlings Pro Preferred and Mizuno Pro Series will be very similar in terms of quality, with a slight edge going to the Pro Preferred in my opinion. Both will be a little higher in quality than the Wilson A2000.
