This specific glove’s pocket is built to be deep. The deep pocket design will allow there to be lots of room to secure a baseball right where the web and palm surface connect. This design is going to be very important for pitchers because it will allow them to stick their throwing hand deep into the glove when gripping a pitch. By being able to do that, the pitcher can more easily conceal their wrist from the batter's view and be less likely to tip pitches to the batter. In addition to the deep pocket, this glove's closed web will also benefit pitchers. With the web being closed, it will keep batters from being able to peer through the web and see the pitches being gripped.
Although the glove's design is specially tailored to a pitcher, infielders on the left side (SS & 3B) could be interested as well. The 12.00" length would allow it for use at those two positions!
