Glove Benefits
The Pro Series gloves have become a mainstay on slow pitch softball fields. And as is expected with these gloves, they will be made with the soft, full-grain leather that only requires 30% of the break-in to be done by the player. There will even be some players who feel as though they can use these gloves right from the moment they pull them out of the box.
To support the soft feel, Miken also equips the gloves with an adjustable wrist fit system on the backing which allows for easy sizing updates. In addition, it features extra protection with the XRD padding that cushions the fielder's hand in case they catch a ball away from the pocket and closer to the palm portion of the glove.
The 15-inch length of this model is the absolute longest size that you'll find out there on a slow pitch glove. If you need the most reach possible on the infield, you could definitely use it there. However, we think that you'll see a glove of this length most consistently used in the outfield.
