Glove Benefits
The Pro Series gloves have become a mainstay on slow pitch softball fields. And as is expected with these gloves, they will be made with the soft, full-grain leather that only requires 30% of the break-in to be done by the player. There will even be some players who feel as though they can use these gloves right from the moment they pull them out of the box.
To support the soft feel, Miken also equips the gloves with an adjustable wrist fit system on the backing which allows for easy sizing updates. In addition, it features extra protection with the XRD padding that cushions the fielder's hand in case they catch a ball away from the pocket and closer to the palm portion of the glove.
Depending upon your preferences, this 13.5" model of glove could be pretty versatile and move between the infield and outfield for use. Due to the softball being large, you don't have to worry much about it getting lost in the length of the glove and slowing down the transfer of the ball from the glove to the throwing hand. That being said, it is pretty common for a glove of this size to be used mainly in the outfield.
