What is the leather quality? What is the break-in like?
Marucci uses one of highest quality leathers which is the standard among professional players. It is Japanese kip leather, which is very tight and clean and requires gradual break-in, but holds its form and shape for a long time without getting floppy.
There is a feature that says 'minimal heel padding for better feel and break-in'. What does that mean? What is the benefit?
Most gloves have a traditionally thick material in the heel area connected to the thumb. This adds unnecessary weight and takes a long time to form how the player wants. Marucci minimizes this padding and it helps the feel and break-in process.
Marucci makes the best wood bats, but what makes their gloves special? Why should I buy a Marucci glove over a brand who has been making them longer?
Marucci's development process was based around MLB players and their feedback. They took significant time working with their Player Advisory Board to perfect the features that are the most important. Gloves were worn by MLB players on-field for the entire 2013 season, which was a full year before they were released to the public. They are individually handcrafted, one by one, which gives them a higher quality look and feel and are made of some of premium materials.
I'm an infielder and also a pitcher. What length should I get?
Because you play both infield and pitch, the best glove for you would be 11.5" T-Web model. The 11.25" I-Web is ideal for middle infield. The 11.5" T-Web will hide the ball better as a pitcher and is a good infield glove for not just playing second base or shortstop, but also third base.
Is this glove going to stay stiff longer than a Pro Preferred or A2K? Is it harder to break-in than a Pro Preferred?
The Marucci Founders' Series: M13FG1275H is very comparable to the Rawling Pro Preferred and Wilson A2K in glove stiffness. The Marucci Founders series has a very similar break-in period to the Rawlings Pro Preferred.
If it was between this glove and the Nike Diamond Elite Pro II H web glove, which one should I get? Which has nicer leather?
The Marucci Founders' Series: M13FG1275H and the Nike Diamond Elite Pro II Series: BF1621 will both feature very nice leather materials. They will take a period of break-in but will have great durability and last many seasons. Both are very comfortable and high performing gloves. Either choice you make will be a great one!
Does this come with the bag and mallet?
No, the Marucci Founders' Series: M13FG1275H will not come with a bag or mallet.
How does this glove compare to a wilson a2000? Which has a longer break in? Which uses a higher quality leather?
The Marucci Pro Founders' Series (M13FG1275H) and the Wilson A2000 are both going to be very stiff leather. I would say they are going to have an equal break in period. The Marucci Pro Founders' Series is going to be made with Japanese Kip Leather and the Wilson A2000 is going to be made with Pro Stock American Steerhide hand selected for its durability and feel, so I would say both are quality leather.
Will this glove be relatively light, will it be floppy?
The Marucci Pro Founders' Series (M13FG1275H) is going to be a very stiff glove that will require a break in period. The glove is going to be of a high quality leather, I wouldn't put this in the category of a light glove.
Does this glove have stiff leather and does it keep its shape?
The Marucci Pro Founders' Series (M13FG1275H) is a stiffer leather glove and will have great durability.
Is the glove hard to break in?
This Marucci Pro Founders' Series (M13FG1275H) features Premium Japanese Kip Leather Construction that does come pretty stiff. The break-in for this glove would probably be pretty extensive.

Pro Soft Glove Conditioner
(1) - First remove any existing dirt by wiping the glove with a clean, dry cloth. (2) - When clean, rub a small amount of conditioner into the leather with hands or clean cloth. (3) - Work it into the web, palm, laces, inside of the glove, & any other area that has become dry or is starting to crack. (4) - When finished, place your glove in a warm, dry area (70 - 90 F) & allow the leather to absorb the conditioner for 24 hrs. (5) - Re-treat your glove when you notice the leather is starting to dry out. Prior to the off-season, apply a light coat of conditioner to keep the leather from becoming brittle.
Note: Excessive glove conditioner/oil can damage or shorten the life of a new glove. Use it sparingly.
Conditioner - Easier to Apply Compared to Liquefied Oils
