Pros: Great quality. I would recommend ordering the $5 glove oil from the website. It's totally worth the $5 other than that great glove and great feel on your hand.

Cons: None.

Pros: you can feel the quality of the glove. will take time to break in. seems small for a size 12 glove. will work for any position. this glove will last....

Cons: seems the finger slots are small for teens with long fingers. all gloves should be made with finger pads for added protection. i like to have my first finger outside glove.

WOULD THIS GLOVE BE GOOD FOR A 10YR OLD. STEVE
This glove would be suitable for a 10 year old who plays the outfield. In my opinion, it would be too big for a 10 year old to use in the infield. Really, the recommended size glove glove for a 10 year old playing the infield is about 11 inches.
Brett
Can I use this glove for slow pitch softball. I play shortstop? Chris
Sure. This glove is more commonly used in baseball, but there is nothing that says it can't be used in softball. The size comes down to the preferrence of the player, and most of the infielders I play slow pitch softball with use a glove around 12.5 inches.
John
can this glove be used in the outfield? HI
Yes, this glove can be used for the outfield. Most outfield gloves are 12.00-12.50 inches. This is a glove that has good durability that you will be able to use for a couple of years.
Brett
Just bought this glove for a 12 year old,a bit big on him, what is best remedy?? Joey
You can either let him break it in and allow the leather to form to his hand which should make it fit better or you can return it and exchange it for a different glove that would fit better.
Mark
I am thinking of buying this glove and i need to know if it will fit my hand. I read in a review of this glove that the finger slots are short. I have an 8 inch hand from wrist to middle finger tip. Erik
I believe it would fit fine. That is the great thing about our 100 day guarantee, it's fool proof. If it doesn't fit, you simply send it back, we pay the shipping.
Linda
What size glove would you recommend for an 11 year old pitcher? Would 12" be too big. Liss
12" may be the biggest you should go with, a regular infield player uses anywhere from 11-11 3/4.
Shelbe
is the glove made of good leather and not that fake stuff? g man
This glove is made from steerhide leather which is real leather from real steers. It is not synthetic or anything like that.
TJ
What size would u recommend for an outfielder in high school but is only about 5 foot 4? tony
This is actually the perfect size for a smaller high school outfielder.
K.B.
is this glove made in america all american
This glove is not American made.
KG
how high of quality leather is this? nunyo
This is made from steer hide leather. Steer hide leather is higher in quality than traditional cow hide leather many gloves are made from. It will be pre-treated by Louisville, so it will already have a soft feel right out of the box, but it's still a high quality glove.
TJ
The leather is a professional grade steer hide that was oil treated. For the money, very nice quality glove.
Linda
Is this glove offered with a slat design instead of the full web design? I see that some of the other sizes in this model come that way. I thought that might be preferable for my 11 year old when playing the outfield. Kenny
The 12.00" Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series is only available in a full web design.
Kara
I noticed it says outfield/pitcher model is it okay for the infield? Sfgiants659
We recommend using a 11.50" glove for middle infield players, Keep in mind we offer a 100 day guarantee on our gloves. If you are not completely satisfied you may return it within 100 days for a full refund or exchange.
Kara
Does using a 11.75 glove make a difference from using a 12 glove for utility? Shane Victorinos #1 Fan
Yes. An 11.75" glove will be .25" shorter than a 12" model. This means the pocket will be .25" smaller.
Tyler
I play 3rd, OF, and pitcher. Can I use this for all three or should I get the Wilson YAK? jroth117
The Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series: OPRO1200 is intended for pitching/outfield, so the Wilson Pro Soft Yak Series: FP125 Fastpitch would be a better option for you. Our glove coach feature is a great way to determine what size works best for you based on age and position: http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
