Description

Lightweight, breathable, and comfortable - That's what the new Easton Salvo Softball gloves provide for the slow pitch player. Constructed from an Oil-Tanned U.S. Steerhide leather shell, Salvo gloves are soft-tumbled for a game-ready feel. Easton has added a Dura Mesh Back to these gloves to give them a lightweight, balanced feel along with added breathability. Bio-Dri moisture management fabric is also added to the finger stalls in order to wick away sweat to keep your glove dry and light. Also inside, a VRS Palm Pad helps to disperse the impact of the ball to keep your hand free from sting. The Salvo Series makes it easy to catch balls in the web, as the palm leather is enlarged with an additional segment between the index and middle finger, creating what Easton calls the Double Deep Pocket. Pros: MY DAUGHTER IS 13, BUT A BIGGER KID AT 5'9". THIS GLOVE HAS WORKED VERY WELL AND SHE LOVES IT. EASY TO HANDLE AND A NICE DEEP POCKET. QUALITY GLOVE FOR THE PRICE.

Cons: NONE THAT I CAN SEE. A GOOD PURCHASE.

All of the gloves seem to be geared towards girls. Are there any gloves made for men to catch with? I have a twenty year old son and he throws hard so i need a good glove to catch off him for practice. sorehands

The Miken Super Soft Series: MSBFT First Base Mitt is a 13.50" baseball mitt with a deep pocket and would also be a good option for you, as it's designed for men's hands.

What is the difference between slow pitch and fast pitch gloves? The only difference in the game is how hard the ball is thrown from the pitcher to the batter. The ball is hit hard both ways and the fielders the throw with the same intensity. Fastpitch Kid

Fastpitch softball gloves are designed with a smaller hand opening and more narrow finger stalls to better fit a female's hand. Slow Pitch gloves will fit bigger as they have normal size finger stalls and hand openings.

We do not have any Easton slow pitch softball gloves available for First Basemen, so unfortunately I'm not really sure what Easton replaced it with. We have several Salvo models, just none for slow pitch.
