Made from soft tumbled oil-tanned leather, these gloves are comfortable and easy to close from day one! The Salvo Series gloves also feature Easton's patent pending Ideal Fit System. The Ideal Fit System features a contoured index finger channel which combines the flexibility and comfort of an open back with the control of a closed back glove. These gloves have a Vibration Reduction System (VRS) Palm Pad that disperses the impact of the ball so players don't feel as much sting. The Salvo Series also has BioDri finger linings which wick away moisture to keep your hands cool and comfortable, and the glove dry and light. Pros: My son was 8 and played up with kids 10 and 11. A hard throwing 10y/o injured his thumb. For two weeks he got hurt every practice and game. He also began to catch the ball ,"Off to the side" to ensure he was catching in the web and prevent further injury. Once he used the Salvo (over three months now), he has gone injury free. He's playing tournament ball with confidence and worry free. This is a very good glove made of quality leather. Don't let the price fool you. I was willing to pay $200 for any glove that will prevent my child from injury. This was the best we've found. Knowing what I know now, I would have paid $200 for the Salvo. At $50, it's a true bargain. My son played in a tourny this past weekend where he played catcher for three innings. This would have been impossible three months ago.

Cons: If (due to the padding) the break-in period was a little quicker, I would have given this 5 stars.

This glove is going to be one of the best ones that we have in that price range. It is a durable glove that you should be able to use for the next couple of years.

Would this be a good glove for 11-13 year old little league baseball. Son plays outfield and second base primarily. Looking for a good utility glove. Would 12" be okay?
