Pros: While this glove is - fairly priced and easy to break in, we unfortunately got what we paid for.

Cons: Purchased the glove in March, and had one side of the main bar webbing break in a baseball tournament in June. Had that repaired by a local leatherworker, and one week later the other side of the middle bar web broke. The leather lacing is cheap and poorly constructed, which is why I believe Easton used a double loop. The store that we purchased it at said they have had "a lot of trouble with these Easton 1st base mitts" and replaced it no questions asked. Hopefully the new mitt makes it through July.

Pros: I normally purchase high end gloves at discount prices and if the glove doesn't suit the position I play on my current team, I break it in and sell it. In this case wanted a mid-range glove I could break in quickly and use for the one team I play 1B on. Ordered the glove months in advance, but didn't put any conditioner on the glove until the day before my season started because it was already pliable out of the box. Glove fielded beautifully on day 1 w/out ever feeling the need to continue molding it for play. I will continue to condition it, as you must do in AZ, but it is totally game ready with lots of cushioning, a 13-inch size that's ideal for softball and a very fair purchase price.

Cons: Easton name doesn't have the cache that Rawlings, Nokona and Wilson have despite its heritage in hockey gloves.

Pros: The glove is very comfortable and I could not believe how easy it was to squeeze it closed taking it right out of the box. I tossed the ball around a few times and couldn't believe how easy it was to make the catches. The break in time is going to be super fast compared to other gloves I've owned in the past. Looking forward to actually using it in a game.

Cons: None that I can see so far.

Pros: I was a little leary of buying this glove because of the low price, but what a score! It's a great mitt. Nice leather, well made, and a very comfortable hand fit. It formed a nice deep pocket and the leather isn't too stiff. You won't be sorry if you buy the NE31!!!!!

is this the right glove size for a 10 year old CASH

In my opinion, a 13 inch glove (like this one) will be a bit too big for a 10 year old. I would look at a 12 inch firstbase mitt for a 10 year old. A 13 inch firstbase mitt will be more common for High School and College age players.
