Great Transition Glove Mike Parent
Pros: Full size glove with smaller finger holes. Youth glove was way to small and Adult just a little big. This fit. Glove has quality feel. Glove new felt 3/4 broken in out of the box. Mizuno’s cut out at the wrist break really makes glove easy to close.
Cons: None so far
Great glove and service Vanessa S Parent
Pros: Beautiful glove and didn’t take long to break in!
Cons: No cons
Questions and Answers
Have a question about the Mizuno Prospect Select 11.50" Youth Baseball Glove: GPSL1150BR? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.
I’m looking at the Prospect Select and the Prospect PowerClose. My son is a relative beginner at 10 years old and not big. So I really like the sound of the power close technology, which both have. I’m not sure what position he will be playing. The Prospect Select says its for infield and the Prospect PowerClose says it’s for all positions. I am not sure why. Is the Prospect PowerClose a deeper pocket or are the pockets basically the same? I’m inclined to get the “nicer” one, but want to make sure the pocket maximizes beginners ability to catch because getting the ball closed around the ball is where he sometimes struggles. Matthew

Can this glove be used for girls' fast pitch softball as well? If not, what is the equivalent/similar glove for softball? MT
My son is 9 year old lefty travel player and plays outfield and pitcher. Will this glove be able to be used for both positions? Do you have a suggestion for a glove? His current glove is a Mizuno, but it is too small. Shelly
I am looking for a replacement for the discontinued GPT1150Y1. My son is a 12u player with somewhat small hands. Is this glove the replacement for the GPT1150Y1? What, if any, are the improvements? Todd
