Description

Since its introduction in 1957, the original Wilson A2000 Series has set the standard for premium quality ball gloves. Developed together with engineers, craftsmen and Major League players such as Evan Longoria, Greg Maddux and Ivan Rodriguez, the A2000 Series is the ultimate defensive tool. Used on MLB fields since 1998, the A2000 SuperSkin models were developed to be as lightweight as possible, without sacrificing performance or durability. SuperSkin repels moisture and reduces the overall weight of the glove while still being 2x stronger than conventional leather. The SuperSkin models strategically place American Pro Stock leather at certain points to give it even more rugged durability. This durability is enhanced even further with Dual-Welting pre-curved finger design that helps the pocket keep its shape and stay stable. This 12.50 Inch fastpitch softball model features a Victory Closed Web and is ideal for outfielders looking for a glove with the lightest possible play weight. Put millions of hours of passion for excellence in the palm of your hand with a Wilson A2000 SuperSkin glove! Wilson: Used Every Day By USA Softball Players. Free Shipping!

Pros: So far, so good. The glove is very well-built, and it will take some time to fully break in. But, even with one overnight oil/shaping treatment, it is easily usable. I get the feeling that this glove will last a very long time.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: V125SS Fastpitch? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How soft or easy to break in is this compared to the Wilson A 2000? What glove in the $75-$200 range is the best quality and comes out of the box nearly broken in? For girls fastpitch Ken
This will be a lighter weight glove, but its break-in period will be about the same. There are a lot of gloves out there that I could easily make recommendations for, but you can look at the Mizuno MVP Prime series, Wilson A1000 Series, Rawlings Gold Glove Fastpitch series, or the Mizuno MVP Fastpitch series.

i really like this glove. is there any way to get it in a right hand throw?? crevi
As of 3/15/2011, this glove is out of stock in a right hand thrower. We should get some in soon and as soon as we do we will show it on the site.
Brett

My daughter is a pitcher and we have bought several gloves that are just too heavy. She continues to use an old glove but would like a new one if it is no heavier. Her current glove weighs 19.8 ounces. The Wilson web site does not have the weight on the specifications. I know I am asking a lot, but can you PLEASE weigh this glove and let me know how much it weighs? THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE. John
I weighed several V125SS gloves and found an average weight of about 23.75 ounces. The heaviest was around 23.9 and the lightest was around 23.6 ounces.
JH
Is this a baseball or softball glove? Micah
This glove is designed for fastpitch softball. It will have smaller finger stalls, a smaller hand opening and a slightly larger pocket for a female softball player.
JH
Does this glove have any palm padding? Wilson uses 2x palm construction or sorbathane palm pad in their discriptions. This one doesn't have either one. JoeC
No, the V125SS does not have a palm pad.
Mark
Which has more palm padding this glove or the new black and grey A2K? JoeC
Both of these gloves are going to have more than average padding in the gloves then what other gloves have in the same price range. The A2K0FPGCL26BS will have a little more padding than the V125SS. They both are going to be very durable gloves that will last a long time.
Brett
What is the difference in the A1000 and the A2000 superskin models? JB
The leather used in the palm and webbing will be of a higher quality in the A2000 compared to the A1000. The higher quality leather will result in increased durability. The actual superskin materail will be the same.
Brett
Is this a suitable size glove for an 17 yo female (5'7") third baseman. It seems most of the 12" gloves are a little small for 3rd base. CaptAmerica
This is a very durable glove made of high end leather that will hold it's shape for many seasons. The SuperSkin repels moisture and and reduces the overall weight of the glove while still being 2x stronger than conventional leather. This is a very good glove for infield play.
KG
Would this be the best 3rd baseman glove for high school softball? pmp
12.5 may a little big for an infielder, but this is a great model. The Super Skin material is light and is very moisture resistant.

Our daughter has a very small hand. She is a lefty. She is looking for a new glove with a big pocket and light weight. She plays 1st and right. She is in 14 u travel. Looking to replace, all equipment was stolen at a tournament. She has replaced the 1st base glove but can't find the "right" outfielders mitt. Any suggestions about this glove or others? Thxs she tried the akadema, sent it back. Wants one with a Velcro wrist closure. Lefties mom
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series would be an excellent choice for your daughter. The SuperSkin is very lightweight, but very durable.
Kara
When will this be back in stock in right hand throw? Ray
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series is discontinued and we will not receive more inventory.

About the Brand

A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
